I think Katrina sang this a half note higher. And, there were two or three key changes in Super Katrina's cover version. She sounded like a mix of Mariah, Christina and, of course, herself.

Didn't like Christina's old version of "Reflection" at all - her belts sounded like a cow screaming while giving birth. Her newer version sounded better but, I agree, she sounds angry when she sings even if the message of the song doesn't call for it. Katrina's version, though a cover of Christina's, is more classy and refined, and indeed more natural and full of emotions. And when she belts, it's not painful to the ears.
I like Katrina but Christina's unmatched. What i really like about Christina is not only her voice but her authenticity. She doesn't care what other people say, she is who she is. And actually her low to mid range is eargasm for me, her tone is untouchable. I think the reason why Katrina is underrated doesn't have the same spotlight like others is because we have too many biriteras here in PH. And you must have something different to offer for you to have that spotlight. A great example is KZ Tandingan she's not a biritera but have a unique style that's why she excel from other biriteras.

I listened again and here are the most obvious ones. 5:59 - "know" sung too flat and completely missed a run, 6:26 - "conceal" note should rise instead of fall, "6:30 - "feel" note should be low to high run, not high to low, 6:50 - "to hide" should be sung low to high run, not high to low, 7:15 -"pretend" should be sung low not high, 7:19 - "time" messed up the run there, should be low to high, not high to low, 7:24 - "show" - wrong note, too high, 7:44 "inside" - wrong note, too high. So she didn't miss just a note, she missed a bunch, and there were several before the 5 minute mark that her runs weren't good either. She's not good at runs, i think because Christina could hold her breath, and push through some notes, but Katrina had to take breath. I mean riffs instead of runs in some of my comments above.

I prefer Katrina’s version to be honest. The two higher key changes made it more dramatic and majestic. Christina’s vocals are impressive, but Katrina’s was more heartfelt and gave me goosebumps, and I’ll admit that her singing got me a little emotional. Kudos to Katrina. Just proves that you don’t have to be a famous diva to have the best rendition of a song.
Correct , you don’t have to be famous, but she studied Christina’s version. She added some differences in there but she used Christina’s blueprint. She had that to go off of. In the future I hope Katrina has the same effect on other artists as well. She is talented.
Christina is such an icon and is out to prove it. This updated version is just as epic as the 1998 version. But then Katrina held her own with her flawless rendition. That high note in the end definitely gave Christina a run for her money. Both ladies are divine.

I prefer Katrina’s version to be honest. The two higher key changes made it more dramatic and majestic. Christina’s vocals are impressive, but Katrina’s was more heartfelt and gave me goosebumps, and I’ll admit that her singing got me a little emotional. Kudos to Katrina. Just proves that you don’t have to be a famous diva to have the best rendition of a song.
Correct , you don’t have to be famous, but she studied Christina’s version. She added some differences in there but she used Christina’s blueprint. She had that to go off of. In the future I hope Katrina has the same effect on other artists as well. She is talented.

We know both ladies can sing with riffs and runs, Katrina just chose not to use as many and it sounded marvelous.
