I've been getting a lot of comments from people saying that Mr. Marcelo IS Curren$y's brother. In this video, I said that he wasn't because Curren$y HIMSELF in an interview said he wasn't his blood brother. He says this at the 1:15 mark of this interview. ua-cam.com/video/rQbUwsNdfuc/v-deo.html

I mean he's an OG who's been affiliated with some of the biggest OGs in new Orleans. He never claimed to be a tough guy but he's always been around some real dudes in the streets. Imo that speaks even more highly of him. He gets respect from rap life killers without being one himself. That just shows u how real he is.
He's like the og of og's. This mans music has done so much for my mental. Shits super easy on the ears, Always on a smooth flow , subtle boast but humble. Jetlife
There was a time where if you met someone who also listened to curren$y, there was like an unspoken bond and you knew they was cool as fuck. This was like 05-08. Now, he's underground mainstream.
Spitta is in my top 5 for a while...fortunate enough to see him in Houston 2021...his link ups with Wiz Khalifa are always so good...but those Alchemist albums Covert Coupe and Continuance always so fire...also anything with Harry Fraud is too good...thanks to Spitta I found out about Larry June as well!
Alot of rappers don't move like Spitta he has gained so many fans by staying solid on other artists platforms and mashing on to the next score real rap fans appreciate that.

Man I’m disappointed in myself for not listening to curren$y earlier i knew who he was but I just didn’t listen to him because I wasn’t really into lyrical rap I started listening to him 2 years ago my homie is a big fan of his and every time I would ride with him he would play his songs and eventually I started to like him. Curren$y is truly a legend in the rap game I wish people would give him his flowers
Curren$y was the rapper to get me out of my "I only listen to classic hip-hop" phase. Heard him in 08' and been a fan since. Only thing that kinda bothers me is his new slow almost slurring flow.
Wowww wtf 😂 this sounds exactly like me but I caught on late 09…he got me out of my 90s rap phase into the current wave….and I’m like half and half on his new flow too; not a huge fan of it fr but it’s Spitta
I actually got into his music pretty early in my life because he appeared on a couple tracks with my uncle. Then I heard weekend at Bernie’s in the rap channel. Once I heard him again on how fly it was a wrap for me. He's probably my all time favorite due to his insane work ethic.
its cool to hear that younger people got into spitta with his new stuff like you said you did in 2016/2017. hopefully new young listeners are still discovering him in 2023 and well into the future. i think the first song i heard was blown away back in 2010
One thing I always respected Spitta for was the fact he always and still do know his worth. He been thru multiple deals and situations but he always been himself. That’s why I will always be a fan. Mind ya business make ya own.
Been one of my favorite artists since ‘09. I remembered the Cash Money days but wasn’t a big fan till he went solo. The consistency and quality was so inspirational to me. I was in awe of his work ethic.
Mannnnnn I’ll never forget getting clowned for listening to spitta in highschool in new orleans when he was on his run dropping mixtapes every month. Now he really the goat to some of us out here. Much respect to spitta always for never leaving the city like some others fr!!
@@TheEnigmaticBM39 it makes sense because wayne was running hip hop n currensy left the label when wayne reached super stardom so ppl thought he was fool for doing it but we see he got the last laugh
I remember when he was on No Limit and Young Money, but I wasn't really a fan until Independence Day came out. I remember hearing She's on my Mind and thinking he was funny, and giving the mixtape a listen and being kinda shocked that he was a background guy for so long with his talent. 2008 was a good year, I had just graduated high school and I remember getting high and listening to Curren$y a lot with all the new music he had coming out. I remember right after How Fly came out there was a Wiz Khalifa concert and I went hoping Curren$y would be there haha, there were like 15 people at that concert, including me and my friends. Good times
Like Spitta said " If you fuck with him he's making music for his fans " Curren$y, Wiz, KRIT, Larry June, Freddie Gibbs, and Slim Thug is mostly what i listen to.
How fly is a classic .☝️💯 curren$y is my favorite artist . Does his own thing and be in his own world . Don’t care what nobody think of him . Don’t care about fame just want to collect cars and vibe .
If you went to that smokers club tour just after covert coup dropped, we all witnessed some very important moments in the last real era in hop-hop history. Much love. 🤙
Listened to Covert Coupes every morning before school of my Senior year in 2010. The music was flowin, so much music that when my homie told me about these cats named Dom Kennedy and A$AP Rocky, I didn't even bother to listen
Jet Life🤙. Really appreciate this one, man. I remember dedicating Sundays just to catch up to Spitta's projects, back when I first got introduced to his music. Cigarette Boats, New Jet City and The Stoned Immaculate are some of my favourite projects.
I'll never forget actually being on myspace reading when he posted it "I AM NOT YOUNG MONEY" thinking dude what are you doing? Safe to say best move 🤙🏾
Man! I from New Orleans, I left and moved to Cali when I was 14 back in ‘05. This video definitely bought me back to middle school high school and college. I’m 31 now still bump currensy! You did your thing on this video man….
