I thought the wheel hubs were torqued much more. Watching your concise instructions gave me the confidence to do this job myself. I did parking brake shoes so im already in there. Most videos fail to provide torque specs. Thank you again. You are the man. 🙏

Thank you for such a very detailed and thorough video. It’s great to see the put back together part. So many leave that out.

Nice job. I have to say my bearing on a 2016 Hyundai Sonata is just a little more complicated. There is not near enough room to work and my bolts were a beatch to get out. I did the same thing with a wire wheel as I couldn't fine my wire brush. When I did find it I found it to be superior. Great Video.

Great instructions! Really the only thing I didn't get was the removal of the adjuster - I figured that out once I took the whole assembly off. I was able to use needle nose pliers to get it back into the guide, but I had to release a shoe (via the spring and clip, not a real problem for a drum brake guy like me!) and THEN I was able to take the failed bearing out. The rest was pretty easy to reassemble - the car is quiet now and there is no play.
Thank you for the excellent video!

I just did my rear brake discs, and quite a bit of struggling and hammering to get it all apart - upon reassembly, two days later, the driver's side started making noise, and now it's REALLY loud.
I have the same car, same year, same wheels, same color - I have the 2.4 though. Looking forward to watching the rest of this in a couple days when I get to the job.

Great job man I wish you were around the Jersey shore ud be my mechanic. Mine that IV used for 40+ plus year did my wheel bearing I told him a year later it breaks again and I take it to him and tell em you can hear it. He tried to say oh it's the front of over 80 ur steering wheel wobbles like what bro no it doesn't then on top of it he charges me $100 for a two minute ride and also bust and sheers off my front lug nut cause he's an idiot and has the impact up to high he doesn't fix it and gives me back to me and says I did it. I would never do that. I usually do alot of this stuff myself but I figured it keep people employed and he's been a mechanic for the family for 30+ years. So now he did fix it and the noise is louder and he sheered off my front lug nut so now I have to fix two things both his fucks ups in my eye. He knew what it was he just didn't want to get on the phone and argue that the wheel bearing he used was faulty and just out of warranty by a week or two. So I wrote him a nice long fuck you letter and review and tell everyone to stay away from him. Like atleast fix what u fucking broke that's just basic respect my last wheel bearing he charged me a crazy price for the wheel bearing and hub like 180 or some shit and then 170$ for literally with the right tools a half hour worth of work... So it was like 353$. From now on I will fix everything myself like I usually do. And I have one friend who is a mechanic and another mechanic who isn't a crook. I wish this guy was around the belmar new Jersey area I would go to him

You are very knowledgeable and I enjoy your videos. My only substantive comment is that when you work with brakes you should use silicone paste for lubricating the caliper pins since it doesn't harden like never seize or grease, and use high temperature brake lube grease for the backs of brake pads instead of never seize or grease since it will not liquefy under high load conditions and run all over the rotor and pads. I feel as though you should have adjusted the parking brake in this video since you had the works apart anyway. Thanks and keep up the good videos. Happy holidays.

Dave Bender Thank you and I appreciate your feedback, the brake rotor felt pretty tight when I spun it so there was not need to adjust the Park brakes since I didn't back them off, the Grease I used to lube the caliper pins is brake grease it doesn't melt during high temperature. I do use silicone paste too! Happy holidays to you too!

5:34 LMAO it took me 45 minutes per side to get the discs off - they were REALLY stuck against the shoes. Eventually dousing them with graphite lube did the trick, but then I had to clean all that off so the brakes would be, well, brakes again.

Hey man great video, love the details that you go into. I just did both rear hubs on my 04 Sonata, but when I tighten the wheel to the hub, the wheel will only spin 1/3rd of the way before it binds up. Both right and left sides are like this. Any suggestions?

Collin Barrows make sure you torque the bolts of the hub evenly and I hope you got good quality hubs
