That adjustment on your suspension is to line your wheel up to keep trailer running straight down the road, line front axels up with plum bob on gooseneck, then line rear axels up with from axels...
I'm a Painter at big Tex in Idaho and I would not buy one of the trailers from that facility. I hope yours holds up because I've seen alot of junk welds and paint ( I constantly complain about the quality) I hope yours is gonna last
I completely agree with you when it comes to the neck bolts. With the bolts go all the way through it's a big deal. It gives me peace of mind while hauling anything heavy
Your trailer was designed as a hotshot trailer for highway use hence the low profile. Also the reason the deck is covered in wood is for traction so the load dont slide off. I had a trailer with a steel deck once and it was next to impossible to keep the load secure even though it was diamond plate. Nice trailer!!!
I think the hitch that’s on it is as good as it gets. With the jack there it shouldn’t have any vertical load on the bolt so it’s essentially just taking the horizontal play out of it.
We use this same trailer for my bosses fencing business and we have overloaded it so many times and it jsut holds up, we have a 100 gallon diesel tank on top tho so it looks clean
I pull semi trailers and I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have 2 gear speed on the landing gear cranking. I would want that on a gooseneck application as well.
Yeah, I heard someone who had either welded or fitted rollers to the back of the dovetail to “lift” the back end onto the newly installed wheels, instead of dragging the rakers on the pavement.
Like ours so good another one is being shipped to the dealership in Ga.... We also ordered the rack that goes over the gooseneck. for both trailers....also coming with electric jacks
I’m the maintenance supervisor at big Tex trailers in wills point tx where this trailer was built we build 40+ trailers a day he has a very nice and they are built Right and don’t cost an arm and a leg and we also have the necks with the pens you can ask for that when looking to buy a new trailer
Carl Klump well I got to tell ya y’all did a good job it’s my favorite trailer we have. I’ve actually grown to like the screw neck adjuster. I haven’t had any issues with it. I used it all summer hauling hay I wouldn’t change a thing but the dove tail I first thought it might be because it’s 40ft but our friends have a 36 an I think a 28 an both of theirs drag to I love the pierced rails it really helps lower the center of gravity to help stabilize the load. But if I could suggest one thing to change it’d be the dove tail height. I’d like to have a hydraulic dove but that’s a little out of our price range thank you for watching!
That is a very nice trailer .. for your next one if you ever purchase another one have the trailer custom built for your needs.. yeah more money but you would be much happier
Not sure if you figured out anything for you dove tail or not but if you raise the hitch up that would lower the front of the trailer and raise the back
That diamond plate over the tires isn't there for tire blowouts. It's there because your trailer is a "low-pro" trailer. If they put wood over the tires on the low pro trailers the tires would rub on the wood when the trailer was fully loaded.
XBaneyX when the trailer is fully loaded the tires shouldn’t touch the wood or it’d cause a blow out! I’d think it’s more of a safety hazard Incase of a blowout an the tire tore the deck up so the load can’t fall threw an the trailer is not a low profile trailer it’s a standard 22gn
@@BagwellFarms it is low pro. It’s a pierced beam. That’s why you can see two I beams between wood on the top of the deck. They use 3/16” diamond plate instead of wood due to clearance of the tires.
I am purchasing that exact trailer tomorrow. Where is the GVWR sticker located on it? The seller does not know and I could not locate it. (It was at night time)
In my neck of the woods. 40 ft. and low to the ground, I'd have all the paint wore off the bottom in less than a week. But that is one nice built trailer. I'm glad for ya. Some of the places I go I have trouble with a 16 ft. I like the extra bracing along the edge. If your worried about the front sliding, drill a 1/2 in hole and weld you a couple grade 8 nuts and run ya 1/2 x 1and1/2 in grade 8 bolt through it.It shoudn't hit the jack and it would have to pull the bolts to slide.
i fixed my Gooseneck Cattle trailer with the bolts, cause I didn't trust the clamp method that was on it. So far so good. Used it now for 8 years. No problems yet. Just make sure your bolts don't hit the adjustment jack.
My 24ft does the same thing it drags every where i go you can tell when i have been there before concrete all scratched to hell thats the only thing I hate about mine
Low profile is why you have the steel plate over the axles for tire clearance. I’d run the steel all the way front to back only on the sides. That’s where the all the weight is hauling equipment. Can’t weight that much more than the wood and you won’t have to worry about it anymore. As far as the gooseneck if you don’t adjust it much put a piece of box tubing slid over the stem so it can’t drop down
Regarding the side lights on the beaver tail. Why not cut them and the brackets off and mount the lights through the side like the mid signal lights are. As for the ends of the angle iron on the ramps, take your angle grinder and shave about 1/4" off the ends. The linkage in between the axles that you showed us is for the alignment of the two axles. It is a good looking trailer and IF it is in fact made by Etnyer, then it IS a good un.
So Jesus is coming sooner then we think by looking at world events. here is the salvation prayer for those who are not saved .pray this with your kids so u know that they are saved and everyone you know. Jesus is coming quickly Dear Jesus Come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, wash me, cleanse me, set me free Jesus, right now I receive you as my lord and savior. I believe you are the son of God and you were raised from the dead, thank for saving me and forgiving me, I am born again. I am forgiven and I am on my way to heaven because I have Jesus in my heart. Amen
You should had bought a Texas Pride Trailer. There so much better and all the problems your having with the Big Text Trailer you wont have with a Texas Pride Trailer.

They don't pull anywhere near the weight we do especially toungue weight or pin weight wise, so it's not needed.
Not torsion axles, that is a rubber wind up system, you have a hutch system like a semi trailer.
Hey Buddy add a couple of steal roller on your dovetail then your trailer will not drag 😏
Yeah, I heard someone who had either welded or fitted rollers to the back of the dovetail to “lift” the back end onto the newly installed wheels, instead of dragging the rakers on the pavement.

David Goethe xxx y’all will love them jacks I wish ours had them

I worked jig 3 for almost 3 years in WP and I built 10,000+ trailers and probably burnt some wire on this one.
Greetings from Big Tex in Mt. Pleasant Texas, I'm a welding inspector for them. Glad your enjoying your trailer.

Worm Hole Farming it’s the same way here! Lol

How has this trailer held up for you?
I wonder what price difference is without dovetail just straight flat deck
Is this the fancy 'KOTEX' model ?
If you keep the front lower, the back will be higher it won’t be dragging like that !
Zbigniew Zimny the neck adjustment IS let all the way DOWN an it doesn’t matter what TRUCK it’s hooked to it’s still to LOW!!!
Can you pull this trailer with Ram 2500
I wouldn’t commercially the weight will put your drive axles over
Did you check your seals for some reason my unit had problems which caused breaks to fail
this diamont plattes are not to protect from a blown tire, its because the wheels wouldn't fit under if there was wood at this place
My 24ft does the same thing it drags every where i go you can tell when i have been there before concrete all scratched to hell thats the only thing I hate about mine
How much do the mega ramps weigh?
Great video nice trailer if you ever decide to trade try you a gator made trailer they're hard to beat
Very Good!

That's one nice trailer! Looks very well built
How much did that trailer cost you?
Do you have clearance issues with the back of the trailer?
Desert Trees yea it drags all the time
Taller tires might help with the low rear of the trailer right?
vonheimlerstrudel no problem you run into then is they get into the deck when it’s loaded
Whats the deck height empty
So you like big Tex or circle w better?
Honestly I don’t have a favorite the circle w trailers have been very good to us an the big Tex seems tobe well built either one is a good trailer
make nice for loading equipment
I have a hi tensile one just like this how much can it carry
15850 lbs is the weight you can carry, staying in the legal gvwr
We are looking at getting a gater made trailer they have a factory in the county that I live in
haggard farms I’ve heard their perty good their similar to big tex
Yeah they are there aren't many people that have big tex here
the tires that came factory were cheap at least on 36

Hudson
