Smash is personally best used aggressively, making sure to mix up your M2s since they're predicable. Don't spam it unless you REALLY know what you're doing. It's your best and greatest too. Just ONE M2 removes a good portion of their shield and applies pressure. If you're good at the game, Smash is basically a solid A tier. I've mained it since the beginning and used it for around 1,700 KDs. Smash also takes a bit of skill to use, so props for those on their journey to be a Smash main, or is at their peak. ❤
Trick for masking m2 do 1 m1 then immediately use m2 if they "adapt" to that just throw m1s since they will try to dodge the m2 thinking your gonna throw the m2
I'm a self taught smash user, and personally these tips are kinda accurate to how I play smash. but I do play Passive-aggressively depending if the opponent's style is a sort of counter style or an over aggressive type like charge.
Core Concept=Utilize M1 + M2 well + randomize timing 1. Spam M1 more + be careful with M2 (use in perfect Dodge/as a counter 2. Randomize timing 3. Play AGGRESSIVE and use m2 randomly to counter 4. Before m2 wait a second (Insane m2 range btw) 5. DON’T SPAM M2 6. Low opponent guard and hp by repeatedly spamming m1 and dodging
Another thing I do is I usually use heavy m1 basically you wait for a brief sec to do a another start up m1 which does more damage but it does cost extra stamina
but dude the biggest weakness of smash is the counter fighting style, once u get hit 4 times from smash's well telegraphed attacks u lose half ur health

A tip for some people smash m2 has more range than m1 and it's better when you dodge to the side because of the direction and hitbox

Simple just dash into them and wait until they use back dodge or just act aggressive to scare them into backwards dodging
