Chris Weiser 2024 College of Engineering Hall of Fame

Established in 1965, the Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by the college. The award recognizes prominent graduates who have made outstanding contributions to the engineering profession and society. Hall of Fame members have, throughout their careers, made a difference in the engineering profession and demonstrated concern for improving their communities. Their achievements have brought favorable attention to the college, the university and state of Arkansas.
Chris Weiser graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. In late 1985, Chris had the opportunity to help manage a family business - JV Manufacturing, Inc. - manufacturing the Cram-A-Lot line of recycling and solid waste disposal equipment.
In 2013, he was honored with a Distinguished Alumni Award by the College of Engineering. Chris is also an emeritus member of the College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council.
Chris and his wife, Debby, award multiple renewable engineering
scholarships annually.
