Jason doesn't act like a person who lost a loved one to suicide. He is emotionless. Not in shock, not in denial, not hysterical. Absolutely without emotion.

So I had a toxic abusive marriage and in my gut I knew that things could and probably would go very badly if I told him I wanted a divorce while still living with him. I took an online test that could help me understand the level of violence I could potentially face if I didn’t take steps to ensure my and my son’s safety. I ended up scoring very high in the test, and it revealed there’s a 80% chance I could be seriously hurt or murdered by asking for a divorce. One of the most scary details was that after the test it told me that his choking me when our fighting would turn physical was the single biggest predictor that he will try to take my life one day. I had zero clue that was the case before that quiz. I remember just breaking down and finally accepted that the man I was with for over a decade could actually take my life away simply because I was tired of fighting with him(physically and mentally) and wanted a life that was full of serenity instead of trelentless anger and fighting. It is disgustingly immature and selfish. I made an escape plan and finally was able to start making moves with the right mindset after taking the quiz and reading the info on the website. I’m so glad I did it that way too because I might not even be here to write this comment

I also think that she reacted that way because coming to terms with the idea that her daughter’s husband/her grandchildren’s father is her daughter’s murderer is too much to bear. Both for her and her grandkids! She just wanted it not to be true. I think it’s her brain trying to protect her from further trauma.

Ain’t no way in hell that she chose to do that while her kids were sleeping in the house, asking for her work clothes, and then using her non-dominant hand, only to shoot herself in the freaking JAW, first!! No one would put themselves and their loved ones through that. I mean sure, there are exceptions, there are anomalies. However, her death is NOT one of them. They found her teeth in the air vents. The first shot blew her jaw up. Jason’s father found her teeth while cleaning the van and turned them in to the police. This happened about 40 minutes from my house and I followed the trial and read the transcripts. That’s how I found out about the teeth. I knew her. She and her kids attended the same homeschool co-op that my family does. First shot may not have killed her but she didn’t fire either of them in my opinion. The investigators dropped the ball on this one turning the van over to Jason. Jason’s father and ex-wife cleaned the van. That’s just crazy to me!

I am on the fence with this one. There was no evidence and the jury member said it all came down to the 911 call. I have watched several true crime videos where I was convinced that the husband guilty because there was very little or no emotion in their voice and they were not answering questions they were asked . In a lot of these cases it turned out to be someone else. Some people are not very emotional and not answering the question of who shot her could be because his brain was still trying to process what had just happened. I would not have found him guilty solely on the 911 call.

Just because you're seeing a counselor, a psychiatrist or any other mental health professional doesn't mean you won't commit suicide. It's happened before, I'm sure that people break down no matter what type of help they get. It just happens. And for these people to say it's not possible is just close minded and unrealistic. I study in Denmark said that those in therapy had a smaller risk of suicide 229 out of 100,000 as opposed to 314 of 100,000, it's still a substantial number even though it's reduced obviously it still happens and this is in Denmark, supposedly one of the happier places on earth, in United States., I'm sure the numbers are quite different. I really appreciate the mother in law's attitude towards Jason..there's no winners or how she was disturbed by the hallelujah reaction..She's right..

I’m tired of the uploads where there isn’t enough evidence for suicide. People who commit suicide can be dancing and smiling 10 minutes before. People who commit suicide do it without thinking because of emotions. I know families want to believe they’d never do it. But you can’t ever rule it out. Unless there’s finger prints and gun shot residue on the husband then there isn’t enough evidence.
