as always, learning alot from you! i tried the xs rand command but didnt work for me. you always seem to upload the perfect tips. would like to know what im doing wrong with that command tho - both shaders and console commands are hard, but i want to learn them. take care!
ive been working on making a truck in magica but finding it really difficult to choose the right dimensions and voxel sizes for the body and the tires etc. i was wondering if u could give me any tips on how i can know whats the right size and dimensions to choose for the scenes to make it detailed enough but not too big either
@@dramfq9195 you could try to make a 128x128x128 bounding box and build your truck around that. I have made some vehicles on IG that are less than this size and so you might be able to achieve slightly more realism if you go with this route.
I personally say you won't get paid as good as other 3d art and you will get less jobs and most of the voxelartists aren't doing jobs and popular voxel artists work in games and sell nfts, prints and do commissions
@@ocoro174 like what @smirkyglint5437 said, it depends on your skills and what you want to do with it. Make videos on it, sell art via stickers/posters, get commissions from people via social media, fiverr. Once you get good, work will come to you. Just don't expect to make a living off of it.
This video is amazing! You are really helping me out, thanks
!
Great little tutorial, love the look of it!

Wow bro just wow
What GPU does the render prefer? NVidia or AMD? Do you need a say 4060 or even 1050Ti would do just fine? Thanks.

so you want something that looks detailed but also to look like voxels?
@@ArtChanny97 yes exactly

How did you make the ground metallic?
hold down Alt and then click on the ground, then choose Metal in the material menu.
how much can you get paid as a voxel artist?
Depends on your skills

it’s a hobby bro, don’t do it for the money
@@xoTaken I have enough hobbies that don't pay
