That being said, over the years, I keep feeling drawn to Ram Dass as I age. There is a strange sense of faith in the truth in his words that resonates with me on the most basic level of spirituality that only increases in age. I find it fascinating. I love both of these humans. They question the fabric of consciousness on a level that is so exciting and enthralling. Once I dive in, I find myself submerged in soulful inquisitive reasoning, and it's so much fun. I've been pretty depressed the last few years of my life and every time I revisit a conversation like this, I instantly become connected to a higher power which I promise you is not a cliche expression. I feel alive and want to converse with similar-minded people. Please reach out if so inclined.

I feel a great reverence for Ram Dass. My experience of his life is one of a deep relationship with love and feeling accepted. He shows it in his smile!

Life is the journey not to take for granted, I really needed to hear that I will not be defined by society how I should be as an aging adult in our society. Fuck sake I was born in 1957 , I was the billboard face for sex drugs, rock and roll plus I also learned meditation at age 17 and have practiced it on and off depending on my situation, It's like AA once you know whats it's about you can't go back. Thank You Ram Das for the awareness that I don't have to be boiled to death then poured into what society views older people "should" be
Moe, I went through the same stages of life exactly. But then after 50 I've began my journey back to me carefree, full of excitement and joyful. I am still on my way to reach my origins of happiness and I know I'll be there. In many ways life is so much better after 55. Our minds are our prisons or our universes depends on how we look at and feel about the world. I wish you all the best as I do know what are you going through. Thank you for sharing your story.

Why do people feel the need to comment on someone sexual preferences or compare them to other teachers? People just listen to what is offered. Even if you don't like someone or necessarily agree with them you can learn something. Instead of criticizing others, look to your own self growth. Such as why you find it necessary, compulsive to post such negative statements.

He gave an inspiring lecture in the un- dergrad Psych dep't & his speech was instrumental in my moving to California, once I graduated. His words still motivate and inspire. Thank you.
