    would you please explain about the mean of continuos random variable?
    Summation of[ f(x).x.dx]=mean of continuos random variable.
    But how did we get this formula?
    Is this actually mean of continuos random variable?

      By substituting 0 n 3 in equation 27k/3=1
      9k=1
      K=1/9

    I understand that from neg infinity to positive infinity the summation is one but how is it possible between 0 and 3

      that is for a range undefined function,in here the range of function is given

    Please explain the second problem in more detail. The integral of kx^2e^-x is a difficult one and i can't seem to end up at two.

      yes why that equation? Does that equation represent something. Like a normal distribution uses equation: f(x)=e−(x−μ)2/(2σ2)σ2π√

      Shrenik Jain, Honestly I tried both by parts and substitution..but k just not coming as 1/2 given 0 to infinity.

      He got it wrong. Integrating x^2e^(-x) over (0, \infty) gives 1, not 1/2
