Wow, this is amazing. I'll pick one up for sure. Here's a link for anyone else that stumbles on this: www.leevalley.com/en-ca/shop/tools/workshop/tool-maintenance/30051-link-belt-for-power-tools?item=03J8501
It is. I’m not a Facebook fan and only have an account for marketplace. We don’t have Craigslist up here and the other option, Kijiji seems to be getting worse.
Those jointers are hard to come by at a decent price, well done! Veritas also has a steel straight edge, cheaper than Starrett if you're interested. Jury still out on the carbon method? I've had some bad luck with restoring an old table saw with some rust pitting. It's just a cleaning method, right?
Yah, I’m happy with the deal I got. I had been looking forever. I’m not sure about the carbon method. I’ll have to give it more time and get it on my table saw. I find paste wax really doesn’t hold up, but this stuff is so expensive… if it helps keep the rust off I think it will be worth it. It certainly makes the jointer beds look good!
Great video man. Going to fiddle with mine some when I get home to get it squared away.
Awesome! Just remember to take it slow. It's easy to make it worse. :)
Use a segment belt,Lee valley tools.
Watching from Vancouver Island 👍🏝️
What’s that? I looked on their website but couldn’t find anything.
@@ryandaywoodworking It is called Link Belt,it is a segmented belt that helps to reduce vibration.

It looks sharp. Great find. Is 'market place' a facebook thing? I've never had a social media account, but your find has me rethinking this.
