- Italy has formally exited China's ambitious Belt and Road initiative. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said the pact has not produced "desired effects and is no more a priority". im a Italian man 70 y.o. & living in italy. after WW2 we had nothing to bring to the table, but to bow down to the victors. much like how germany refused to buy russia's gas. the hype may be different albeit the out come is nonetheless the same. this is why italy had no choice but to pull out of china's BRI. we all know BRI will help all people on this planet. with much love and respect for china... its people, culture & history - your very good friends from italy!

India is not a rival of China. India is not even close to being a rival to China; China is passing the US, and India is too chaotic and disorganized to ever rival China.
A foreigner who visits China can see that the country has changed a lot in the past 30 years, but visiting India one sees the same huge disparity between rich and poor, dirty streets with poor beggers roaming streets and defecating in the pavement. I am neither Indian or Chinese, I am an observer that don't see India anywhere close to rival China.
I am a brown skin guy from Southeast country and have traveled to both countries very often for trade shows and exhibitions before Covid-19 Pandemic.
These 2 countries there is no comparison. China is so far ahead of the other and we don't see any 3 wheelers tuk-tuk in China city like India even in the big city like New Delhi and Mumbai. And comparing hygiene and cleanliness, India still need at least another 50 years to achieve what China has achieved today.
But Godimedia's mouthpiece Palkee and her _army of whatsapp minions_ are very sure that everything you folks say are in the complete opposite! India is the current superpower overtaken the U.S. with zero slums but with high-speed rails and China is the one still using 3-wheel tuk tuks and children defecating and sleeping on railroad tracks. Amazing!

@@IWasInBerlinDuringWW2 I did not have tour guide. I traveled there many times for work related purposes to negotiate with various tech companies. I have seen India's silicon valley and not too far you see slums after slums, disorganize and chaotic.
The fact that you admit there are slums (most part of Indian cities are slums) by itself shows that you do have slums in India, not hidden ones like most cities in the world but good part of city.
You can see poor neighborhoods in China but you hardly find slums in its Indian term.
Defecating in public is a HUGE issue in India that I have not seen in any other part of the world and it is disgusting.
India might be fast growing but it has a long way to be consider a tier one country and big part of it is cultural. It is chaotic and very diverse not in a positive sense.
The fact that traffic jams happen because a few cows roam in the street and nobody wants to disrespect them by forcing them off road shows that business and punctuality are not Indian priorities and this might be a good thing but not to my taste. I won't be able to live in India at all because it is too dirty and chaotic for my taste, I don't care about luxury, more about cleanliness and peace of mind. Even power lines in Indian cities are not orderly. I have been in CEO houses and I know how luxurious those houses are but a few blocks from there you see rows of people sleeping in the street. In one of my trips I saw municipal trucks collecting corpses of people who died in the street like garbage collectors.
You might call it democracy but it is ugly and unjust to see some living in an unimaginable luxury and most in abject poverty. You will see a lot of multi-millionaires in China now - I read China has 350 million multi-milliners now some multi-billionaires - but you don't see people sleeping in streets in China, there might be but one does not see it but in India you can't miss it.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying India is not a great country, of course it was when it promoted Gandhi's way not this Modi Hindu fundamentalist who flip flops in a blink of eye but it is not among my favorite countries because it is one of the dirtiest countries that I have visited. When not bathing is part of religion for some Hindu Guru what one can expect from ordinary, illiterate people.

Also open defacement no longer exists since latest WHO report states that 99% of Indians have access to toilets as of 2023. Plus the poverty of India stands at 6% which is barely 100 million people. It’s just that most of them are in the cities only.

No country in the world can help the EU out of their miserable economic situations except China.
