I haven't played Skylanders in years but I'm glad this was reccomended to me anyway bc this is super interesting. I have all OG skylanders and all Giants newcomers and I've always wanted to try out the "other" skill path to see what it's like without completley resetting them and if I use these tools correctly I can do just that! I do hope someone manages to update SkyReader someday, though.
I don't know if you have the superchargers game but in that game you switch paths with ANY skylander once you get to portal rank 74, because I've noticed the switching path stuff on skyreader can be a bit jank

Finally somebody did this, this is by far the easiest way to earn money yet nobody ever does this for some reason, you can even max out the stats for your skylanders by rigging the heroic challenge stuff
This looks really useful, thanks for sharing. Seeing as it corrupts Senseis I'll just grind for coins with them the intended way. However, I will give my blast zone, wash buckler and stealth elf as many coins as they need to max out upgrades. When downloading Skyreader my computer warned me that it isn't commonly downloaded but I'm sure it's fine. In all honesty, I'm more afraid of malware than corrupting Skylanders.
Maybe I should give these programs a try. If I ever get to replay Swap Force, I could give my skylanders from Spyro's Adventure heroic challenges using the programs. It's really nice to learn about I can just use the 3DS version of Spyro's Adventure to fix my figures if they get corrupted by the technical issues.
Do you know if any of this is possible with the emulated skylander files from rpcs3? Given that it doesn't use a physical portal, I would imagine there would be issues unless the programs have the potential to directly select Skylander files, but I'm not familiar with the programs yet as I am intimidated by starting to use dolphin. On a side note, the editing for this video was fun, and you got the information across very well without any miscommunication as far as I can tell. Nice work, and thank you for the content!
I'm not really sure about rpcs3 as I've never used it, but honestly I doubt it. I know this method can work with emulated skylanders on nfc cards, which I do all the time. And for dolphin honestly its the easiest to use out of all the emulators, so be don't intimidated of it!

Guys just a reminder if u break a sensei you can try to use in the wii version of giants the "Reset Broken Toys" option it may work at least to reset crystals it works
The fact that you called (2^32 - 1) a code amuses me. To explain, 4.294.967.295 is the highest number you can write if you use 32 binary digits. Binary digits can only be 0 or 1. in this case, I assume that each digit acts like a switch. that switch is either set to "this challenge has been completed by this skylander" or "this challenge has not been completed by this skylander", which is represented by a 1 or 0 respectively. So presumably, there are 32 challenges (correct in at least the first game (not counting special variants)), and each digit refers to a different challenge. I feel like I'm repeating myself, but I don't know if that's cause I am or if I'm just so used to thinking about it in this way. edit: You said there are 18 additional challenges in giants. the additional challenges are probably elsewhere in the newer skylanders's data to be backwards-compatible, and regardless, the editer can probably only write 1 word to that memory slot. but if both of those assumptions are wrong, inputting 1125899906842623 (2^(32 + 18) - 1) should make every challenge completed. The first assumption could be wrong if they just have empty space for a while after the first 32 bits or if they use labels. idk.

you cant edit a skylanders moveset as that is coded into the game itself, this guide is only to back up skylander data and edit stuff that it is on the rfid chip of the figure so stuff like money, upgrades, hats and nicknames

I came across this video because I was trying to see if I could copy one of my Skylanders onto another one due to the fact that the original one was chewed up by my dog. I see you can edit Skylanders and save them, but you can't copy one Skylander's stats onto another one. Is there something I can do to achieve this? I know I could just manually copy down the same stats that are on the original one, but some of the exact details are off.

Skyreader gave me some problems when using vehicles, I tried to put gearbits on them but I always had to reset the figure inevitably losing the gearbits... Did someone accomplished to do so?

You can use magic items and it gives them around 500 gold per item, you can keep making account's on your console until you have enough gold
@@mogpog4420 Unfortunately Swap Force Skylanders can’t be removed from the slots in Imaginators once added which is a bit of a nuisance.

I corrupted Jingle Bell Chompy Mage and Bowser and I put them on Imaginators on Switch and it showed the option to uncorrupt them

Well i know for traps you can reset them on GUItool, but im not sure about skyreader
