Vandi: So, I had this song stuck in my head, and I had to listen to it. While I was doing so, Mares was all like, "Hey, this would totally be a great song for Sayaka!" And I just shrugged it off at first, but then I realized her point. So, thanks to Mary, I put together this video for everyone's enjoyment. I was really glad for Rebellion.

Let's face it; Kyousuke is worthless. He has every right not to want Sayaka as a girlfriend, but he strikes out at her in the hospital, discounts her constant attempts to encourage and comfort him regarding music, doesn't tell her when he's checked out of the hospital, is stiff and in shadow at her funeral and not holding Hitomi as she cries on his shoulder, and only misses her when he senses she has departed reality. He's believable as an artist, but Gen Urobuchi was right: it's not a problem with Hitomi, it's a problem with Kyousuke.

I disagree. He had just been told he will never be able to do the thing he finds most meaningful in life again (playing music), he is too traumatized to realize there are people trying to help and comfort him, is too surprised that a miracle has happened to pay attention to the world around him, and is taken aback in the funeral to the point of being motionless; and he is the ONLY one who senses her when she departs... He's a good guy, in a rough spot.
