Earnest wishes for a meaningful Yom Kippur & easy fast. I sincerely hope you'll find shalom & forgiveness through YESHUA HAMASHIACH & HIS atoning blood shed on the cross for us and that your name is written in rhe Book of Life. G-d bless you.

Hey John 😊 What you'd be referring to is the Christian conception of Satan as a sort of adversary to God. I am speaking here from the Jewish viewpoint that there is no other force, God is all powerful, and the Evil Inclination, Accuser, Satan whatever you want to term it is there to give us something to push against so we truly earn our reward got making the right choice. Kind of like how increasing the weight on the barbell makes it harder but gives you a greater opportunity for growth. Hope that helps explain 😊
