Dream Theater A Change Of Seasons Derek Sherinian keyboard solo cover
    A Change Of Seasons(1995) / Dream Theater
Roland JD800 synth lead tone & solo analysis
I love Derek’s synth performance and his strong tones!
For a long time, I somehow assumed that this synth lead was by Korg Prophecy, but after careful listening, I realized that it was based on the JD800 Wailing Guitar. (Thanks for letting me know, Francesco!).
So I analyzed the tone and made a synth lead.
I also re-scored the solo phrase.
Detailed tone data will be written later.
    Main points
    TONE B Clear Keys
TONE C Same as Wailing Gutar
    TONE D Pulse Mod
    Filter adjustment
    LFO adjustment
    Fuzz Drive for distortion
Use modulation and pitch bender for vibrato
Break up the phrase and place it in both hands
    デレクのシンセアプローチや音色が大好きです。
    昔からこのシンセリードはKORG Prophecyによるものだとなぜか思い込んでいましたが、注意深く聴いてみると、JD800のWailing Guitarを基にしていると気付きました。(教えてくれてありがとうフランチェスコ!)
    そこでトーンを解析し、シンセリードを作ってみました。
    同時にソロフレーズも採譜し直しました。
    詳しい音色データは後で書き込みます。
    要点
    TONE B Clear Keys
    TONE C Wailing Gutarと同じ
    TONE D Pulse Mod
    フィルターの調節
    LFOの調節
    ディストーションはFuzz Drive
    ビブラートはモジュレーションとピッチベンダーを使い分ける
    フレーズを分解して両手に配置する

Have you ever analysed the Jordan rudess tone from train of thought? I'm having a hard time with that lead.

I've made three or four different Jordan leads in the past. However, my main interest is in the Jens Johansson lead, and the Jordan lead is not my specialty.
So it is difficult to make a detailed instructional video.
So here are a few simple tips to get you started.
First, create a basic model of Jordan Lead.
      (Kurzweil K2600 model)
According to a past interview with him,
make the layers of oboe, clarinet, sawtooth, distorted guitar, flute, square wave, and sine wave
(You might also want to add an English horn.)
The sine wave can be used for feedback sounds; create feedback of two different pitches (5th degree and octave unison) and assign them to the positive and negative directions of the Y-axis of pitch bend bar.
Assign the waveform one octave down to the ribbon controller.
The pitch bend range is -12 +2.
      After creating this basic lead,
use the distortion wah effect for the TOT lead.
Then assign a wah amount to the expression pedal.

What would these oscillator be on Korg? The one in particular I can't find is clear keys.

Indeed, Clear Keys is a waveform unique to the JD800, and you won't find anything similar in Korg's synths.
Try using the electric piano waveform in the Korg synth as a substitute for Clear Keys.
