Different seasons and regions have different narrators. This channel usually has the Canadian versions, which are actually the original of any given episode. But I usually prefer the US version with Brooks Moore narrating. I still remember how disappointed I was when he left for a few seasons back around 2010.
i watched this entire thing expecting a joke. But then I realized it wasn't hugbees. I just spent 15 minutes learning about how you actually make chocolate.
I know the feeling! It's amazing how engaging and educational these videos can be. Now I'm curious, what's one surprising fact about chocolate-making that you didn't know before watching this? Anyone else have any interesting tidbits or fun facts about chocolate to share?
YOohoo has been made since 1920. Not the 70's. I'm 70 and have been drinking it since childhood! I am currently working on a sugar free version since there is no such thingb9n the market.
I have this friend I go to church with. I've known him ever since I was 15 years old. I'm now 27 years old. When this friend of mine was talking to my cousin, he said, "I'll tell you what. Why don't I buy a huge chocolate bar so we could both eat it together?" Since this friend of mine is married now, I would love to buy him that huge chocolate bar so he could share it with his wife.
The people who grow and harvest cacao pods generally can't afford and don't eat finished chocolate. Unless curious journalists give them some for reactions.
Are the nibs roasted before or after shelling? The video didn't align with what was being said. Just asking. I thought they were roasted before shelling
That is an awful lot of work for a chocolate bar 🍫 Who figured this out ??? From a bean to go through all these processes; I wonder how they made chocolate in 1900 ???
Hi, I work for South Korean broadcast company tvN. we would like to use your video on our history show. Could you please let me know if we could use an excerpt from it giving the credit to your channel? Thanks :)
It is, unfortunately. Notice how most of the people doing the manual labor were people of color? That's because the beans grow best in countries from Latin America, where corporations from rich countries take advantage of the poor labor regulations in LA countries to essentially enslave the rural villages that grow the beans. Recently they found that Hershey's in particular used children in many of their plantations. Most luxury items rich countries enjoy are unfortunately made like this, such unimaginable labor... and yet it's very uncommon for them to even know who made those items or where they came from.
It's just not the same anymore that old narrator really made it what it was
Watch the original how it’s made chocolate from the science channel
IKR huggbees is the best!
There's something special about those classic voices, right? 🎙 If you could bring back any narrator from the past, who would it be?
You guys should bring back the original voice over like from the show
Yeah
Yeah it's just not the same anymore without that deep voice
The original how it’s made chocolate does have it

I agree
Did not realize chocolate was such a process. Amazing. 💕
First impression - the voice is not good for this. Get the original guy back
Chocolate!!!!! 🍫 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I’m eating chocolate right now lol
Same , was so much better seeing this and enjoying one 😂
"from a KitKat to a Snickers bar"? Mate, that's ubermainstream.
this is not the original "How it's made" but I enjoy the video, thank you
Cool 😎

I hope these people get paid a good wage and not exploited by the West!
It's up to those people's government and employers to pay them a good wage and not exploit them. The West just buys the product!
bring back the original voice overs
Chocolate is an overhyped thing eatable

Why did you think this was a joke
@@BringBackCyParkVendingMachinesbecause hugbees (the channel OP mentioned) makes parody how it's made videos.
That's why I came to comments. To see if this was a joke

The video is good but the voice over is trash. Why does he have to talk like he's a news anchor? Bring back the original voiceover.

i never thought chocolate was such a long process, end product looks so simple
You can make it a simpler and quicker process, but the result will be crumbly, uneven, and have off-flavours.

How much is actually made from the beans and how much is from added butter, milk powder and sugar?
Most of it is made by children who have no choice in the matter

They are roasted before crushing and shelling, they messed up the order

I didn't see the part where cocoa butter is separated/extracted from the mass. I was looking to see that.

why is an X-Games host narrating this
This video didn’t show any of the little kids who are forced to harvest the plant. Otherwise great video
Why wouldn't adults harvest it?

So it picked my interest
Thanks for this video, but why is this narrator yelling at me?😅
He's American.
sorry but there’s no way most chocolate is made like this. it’s too much labour??

@@Person-sf7ql well either those poor people do the job for very little money or they pay them a lot more and a chocolate bar will cost 100$..
Most chocolate contains vegetable fats to make it cheaper.
