FLUTD is the condition. My cat Caboose had this. I went through this with him twice, costing me $4200 in vet bills. I happily paid them no matter how bad it hurt. It broke me. I enjoyed his company for 5 more years, and did everything I could. Ultimately I lost him at only 9 years old. If it's any condolence, every male cat I've ever known that had this condition - possessed the sweetest, most human like personality of any other cat that doesn't. I loved Frankie because he was JUST LIKE Caboose. Your stories help people, and today it helped me.
We had gotten a stray cat from our apartment complex when we lived in Atlanta. (In 2006 we moved up to North Dakota for a job, which is where I am from originally). This cat was just around the complex, maybe a year or so old, and one night she came walking up to us and every 3rd or 4th step, she would just fall over. We brought her into our apartment, and she stayed with us a few days. She didn't appear to be in any pain and it cleared up and she was fine after that. We had thought too, that she may have been hit by a car or something, but eventually we figured it was some kind of temporary nerve damage, although we never had it researched and it never came back. Anyway we kept her and named her Rosie. She was a Tuxedo cat, they have a lot of personality too and my wife absolutely loved her. She was with us until 2017 when she suddenly stopped being Rosie. We took her to the vet and they discovered a cancer mass in her abdomen. We had her put to sleep and buried her out at our family farm's pet cemetery. About a year later, my daughter saw a cat that looked just like my wife's sisters cat who liked to escape from her apartment, and went out to get her and take her home. It wasn't her, it was another stray. She was skin and bones so we brought her in, fed her and named her Dakota. Incidentally, the word Dakota means friend in Lakota Sioux. Ultimately she filled out quite nicely and the vet determined she had already been fixed so no extra expense for that. So there's 2 more names for you to consider Heidi, Rosie and Dakota.
My Guy, had "HEPATIC LIPIDOSIS", quit eating, one feeding tube, shots for diabetes, ah lot ah love, and sleeping on the floor for company, and $3,400.00 later, we made it through, for another 4 yrs.(the vets gave up, I said FU, just help me take care of him, damn the money) I also believe, ah whole lotta 🙏 helped out, tremendously !! How is feline "hepatic lipidosis" treated? Treatment usually involves aggressive feeding through one of several methods. Cats can have a feeding tube inserted by a veterinarian so that the owner can feed the cat a liquid diet several times a day. If the cat stops vomiting and regains its appetite, it can be fed in a food dish normally.
Nothing lasts forever. I enjoyed Time Well Spent and then comes a time to let them be at peace. I am in Love with German Boxer #4. Named TulleyRue and his demeanor changed Large after his Brother from another Mother left after 11 1/2 years. (Old Dog Syndrome) and Seizures. The look from his eyes said it all.
I think "Snowball" would be an awesome name for your beautiful kitty. I know what it's like to lose your beloved cat, I've lost at least 50 over the years. Coyotes killed most of em. I had 49 cats at one time. I take in any and all strays. I will NOT let an animal go hungry !! Be thankful you had Franky as long as you did. You WILL see him again in Heaven.😿 Btw, black cats have a stronger immune system than other cats. Show your new baby lots of attention and Love. Thank you for sharing part of your life with me. My cat had the same problem and the Vet was able to clear it. The Vet also said to feed Murray, Hills Science Diet only to keep him from getting this problem. He never had a problem again.
“Hope” because that what she brings to you! Lost my lab of 15 yrs to cancer, not a day goes by I don’t think of her. Never left my side. She tracked and found every deer I harvested during her life time. I placed a Granite marker in my front yard, marking her grave and her favorite place. Under a huge chestnut oak. It catches the morning sun, and provides shade in the afternoon. I had inscribed on it “Loyal friend, Faithful Companion”. Some of God’s many gifts to us, and entrusted to our care. I remain “Wild at Heart”

Absolutely stay positive….I am looking after my friends male cat for a few weeks…he has always had bouts every now and then with urinary infection…it lasts about 3-4 days and then he’s ok….but I keep a close eye on him….my dogs and him have lived together for more than 10 yrs….soon he will go back to be with my friend and her dog… The kitten has found a loving home with you….be safe too.

When we think we have it all, God throws a curveball to see how we do. For this, you hit it out of the park. Hate to see the banks go, but your heart is in the Blue Ridge Farmhouse. My cat has the same issue. One day he was spry and happy, and then gone.
So sorry to hear of Frankie's passing. We have lost two male cats to the same condition and sadly it is a fairly common malady. We now have a little dusky black female rescue cat who looks much like your little kitten, right own to the small patch of white fur between her front legs. Her name is Shadow and she loves to curl up on my lap when I watch UA-cam !

I know the feeling of losing favorite pets. My cat Garth was my buddy for 17 years, the longest of any of my pets. Frankie knew how loving you were to him, so he led you to find the kitten. Since you found her at night, Midnight would be my name suggestion. I'm sure she will love the farm! You're still young. Plenty of time to get back to the beach. Enjoy your farmhouse adventures! So will you keep the offshore boat or trade it for a bass boat?

I know how that feels. I lost my Amstaff and that hurt me for months. A dog is like a child and when they die you seriously feel the same kind of pain as if you were losing your kid. :(

I've been there and it's heartbreaking. :'(( I had to go to Pet Smart one day and they had an adoption day going on, and every puppy and every kitten had gotten adopted but one little black "ugly duckling" kitten, and when I saw him through the window back in a side room all by himself, I went back there and got him while some lady was saying, Sir, you can't be back there. lol. I got him and adopted him, then spent about $350 more dollars buying him things he needed. A cool collar was the first thing, and an electric "self-cleaning" litter box was the second thing. I named him Smokey, He turned out to be one of the prettiest cats, When he got grown he was very dark grey with light grey stripes, and his fur was like silk, and then everyone that saw him wanted him. And I was like, nope! He's never going anywhere. lol.
Some journeys are rough but we are tough and resilient and we find ways to heal and overcome adversity. I'm happy for your new Kitty and I'm sure she will help you mend the void left by Frankie. I have to say the thing the thing that I am most thankful for is my family and the opportunities I've been given to spend time with them.

It's hard to deal with losing a pet. When my dog died i was a wreck for a couple of months. I had him for 17 years. They're more than just a pet, they're a member of the family.

A few things, Vets were kinda correct in the fact that what happened is really quick. Little could been done as you hardly notice it especially with an animal thats in and out of the house. Believe it or not, I had a kitten that was born by wild out under my shed that resembled your kitten quite a bit. Black with a few sprigs of white under his neck. I thought he was a she till about 6 months of age when Jackie became Jackson. His official name was Black Jack because he was Black and a Jack or ( Jackie ). Any way he was raised with English Bulldogs and always thought he was a dog. As for a name your kitten...I have 2 suggestions. 1. Destiny as it seem like it was your Destiny to find her / him. 2. Bravin, which is Irish Celtic for Beautiful girl with darkest of hair. An wise old man told me one time, if you want to hear God laugh, make a plan. Life is for living, be patient, take one day at a time and soak it in. God's already made your plan. Trust him and he'll guide you through it. Destiny.....Des-y for short.

New subscriber and watching some of you back vids. Frankie was certainly a special little fur buddy, and such a loss for you. I hope the new little black fur ball can bring you as much joy. I also feel for your father. It is awful for loose a dear pet that is in your care, especially with this sudden loss. Good that you were able to have and evaluation to know that there is nothing you or your father could have done anything about.

That lucky little kitty will be playing with Elo in no time. It will be fun to watch her grow up. I saved one too not long ago. She just showed up in my veggie garden one day and hid. It took two days to catch her but we didn't give up. You don't give up either!
I had a cat when I was a kid, Freddie was his name, he was shot in the back legs. My parents had to put him down because the bullet paralyzed him back legs area. I was sad. Very sad! Never had another cat again.

My cat had the same problem and the Vet was able to clear it. The Vet also said to feed Murray, Hills Science Diet only to keep him from getting this problem. He never had a problem again.
“Hope” because that what she brings to you! Lost my lab of 15 yrs to cancer, not a day goes by I don’t think of her. Never left my side. She tracked and found every deer I harvested during her life time. I placed a Granite marker in my front yard, marking her grave and her favorite place. Under a huge chestnut oak. It catches the morning sun, and provides shade in the afternoon. I had inscribed on it “Loyal friend, Faithful Companion”. Some of God’s many gifts to us, and entrusted to our care. I remain “Wild at Heart”
I had a starving year old or so cat so show up last November, he saved me when I saved him, I was falling into a deep hole, cats are amazing. You're stunning as always

Absolutely stay positive….I am looking after my friends male cat for a few weeks…he has always had bouts every now and then with urinary infection…it lasts about 3-4 days and then he’s ok….but I keep a close eye on him….my dogs and him have lived together for more than 10 yrs….soon he will go back to be with my friend and her dog…

When we think we have it all, God throws a curveball to see how we do. For this, you hit it out of the park. Hate to see the banks go, but your heart is in the Blue Ridge Farmhouse. My cat has the same issue. One day he was spry and happy, and then gone.
So sorry to hear of Frankie's passing. We have lost two male cats to the same condition and sadly it is a fairly common malady. We now have a little dusky black female rescue cat who looks much like your little kitten, right own to the small patch of white fur between her front legs. Her name is Shadow and she loves to curl up on my lap when I watch UA-cam !

I had to go to Pet Smart one day and they had an adoption day going on, and every puppy and every kitten had gotten adopted but one little black "ugly duckling" kitten, and when I saw him through the window back in a side room all by himself, I went back there and got him while some lady was saying, Sir, you can't be back there. lol. I got him and adopted him, then spent about $350 more dollars buying him things he needed. A cool collar was the first thing, and an electric "self-cleaning" litter box was the second thing. I named him Smokey, He turned out to be one of the prettiest cats, When he got grown he was very dark grey with light grey stripes, and his fur was like silk, and then everyone that saw him wanted him. And I was like, nope! He's never going anywhere. lol.

I have to say the thing the thing that I am most thankful for is my family and the opportunities I've been given to spend time with them.

It's hard to deal with losing a pet. When my dog died i was a wreck for a couple of months. I had him for 17 years. They're more than just a pet, they're a member of the family.

A few things, Vets were kinda correct in the fact that what happened is really quick. Little could been done as you hardly notice it especially with an animal thats in and out of the house.
Believe it or not, I had a kitten that was born by wild out under my shed that resembled your kitten quite a bit. Black with a few sprigs of white under his neck. I thought he was a she till about 6 months of age when Jackie became Jackson. His official name was Black Jack because he was Black and a Jack or ( Jackie ).
Any way he was raised with English Bulldogs and always thought he was a dog.
As for a name your kitten...I have 2 suggestions.
1. Destiny as it seem like it was your Destiny to find her / him.
2. Bravin, which is Irish Celtic for
