Since Andrealphus is canonically gay, the theory for why he keeps referring to Stella’s beauty is because he truly believes it’s Stella’s ONLY good quality. He can’t think of a SINGLE other good thing about her because there is literally NOTHING else to compliment her on. He himself says “You’re SO lucky you’re hot.”, and he doesn’t say that because he wants to sweet home Alabama her, rather he basically means “You’re a fucking idiot, the ONLY thing you have going for you is that you’re attractive.” Plus Andrealphus is a peacock; an animal that is known for taking a lot of pride in its beauty and appearance.
One of the songwriter's for Helluva said that his read on it was Andre's trying so desperately to appear heteronormative that he doesn't even realize the implications
Like you said though, he's a peacock and Stella's only positive attribute is her looks, so he's trying to flaunt them while talking her up and he doesn't know how to be subtle about it. I saw another commenter say that with so many other Goetia present he might be trying to attract a new husband for her too. Again, he's being a weirdo about it, but he doesn't seem to realize that XD

FINALLY an explanation for why Andre's so weird about his sister... although there's still that one thing he called her, "My fiery vixen." Although EliteTacoNinja's explanation about him trying to appear heteronormative also works - he did say that he "wasn't a deviant" like Stolas. ^^

The reason Stolas confesses instead of pointing the finger at Andre and Stella is because this isn't about the assassination attempt but rather the book, which he and Blitz ARE guilty of. Nobody cares if a Goetia tries to kill another Goetia only if an imp is responsible.

They'll get the worse punishments for committing the same crimes, and if stolas really was the evil one, stolas would've been doing a WORSE crime but he still got the lesser punishment.

The full weight of what’s happened doesn’t really hit Stolas until he sees Loona and Blitz hugging, and he realizes that he has effectively lost his daughter. He could have handled being banished and losing his position, but that broke him.

@@Sammie_Wilson Unless Vassago and Luna could do something. After all, Octavia and Luna are friends and could have each other's numbers after they met and talked. Plus Vassago isn't convinced Stolas was an actual mastermind to it all seeing as he didn't sing with the others in his stand. If Luna and Vi don't seem to have contact (which would be a massive disappointment to be honest), he might be able to get the father and daughter to keep contact in some way.

It's an interesting parallel to last episode, in the flashback to when he met Millie. Millie said they don't deserve the fancy office in the Pride ring, and he immediately shut that down, saying of course they do because they earned it. When it comes to business, he thinks they deserve the world, but with his personal life, he thinks he deserves nothing.
Because since his mom died, everything to him is transactional ("a transactional fucking, you see" -Harvest Moon). He feels he only deserves reciprocation for what he can give and no more, and he doesn't think he offers anything in his relationships, so he deserves nothing in return.

He's also admitting to being an assassin. This is not a good look when inside a courtroom. Assassins targeting locals in hell would be illegal, and targeting people outside of hell would be illegal because he was accused of accessing the mortal world without proper documentation and authorization.
For reference, see OJ Simpson's book titled "If I Did It, Here's How I Did It". Framing something as a hypothetical doesn't always make it less suspicious.

Andrealphus' plan is actually genius.
At first I thought why he wouldn't just go after Stolas, since he's the big fish afterall. He has nothing to gain from an Imp. But then it hit me.
Notice how when Stolas intervened in the execution, Andrealphus was smilling? He wasn't shocked or suprised like anyone else. He was smilling. This tells me that he expected this, which implies that this was all part of his plan.
If Stolas was trailed, he would have an actual voice in court since he is royalty. Andrealphus would find it hard to get him in trouble. Its not like they are going to bring Striker in to say he tried to assassinate Stolas since Stolas is the one in trial. The entire thing will become a he said she said. Unless Andrealphus can find people willing to say Blitz was doing illegal shit thanks to Stolas, like witnesses or what not, he can't really have that case in the bag. Its not like he knows of Verosika or Fizz, and even than neither would testify against Blitz.
But maybe Andrealphus saw that going after Stolas directly would not have given Andrealphus favourable odds. There were just too many variables. On the other hand, no one was gonna take what an Imp had to say seriously. Andrealphus could push any accusation on Blitz and the others and no one would say anything. All except... Stolas. He knew, well everyone knew, that Stolas and Blitz have a thing. So since he smilled, he probably expected Stolas to come.
And you see, that's the beauty of it. Stolas can't go after Andrealphus in court now because all this time Andrealphus has been "defending" Stolas, saying that Stolas was used by the Imp. Coupled with the fact that Blitz practically screwed himself by saying he could have killed Stolas himself, Stolas was now in a lose lose situation.
1] Blitz gets executed.
2] He tries to go after Andrealphus but since the ice king has been defending Stolas the whole time, and Blitz has lost any of the little say he had, the court [Satan] was never gonna side with Stolas.
3] Stolas takes the fall. Even though he won't die [which is not what Andrealphus wanted anyway], Stolas would still be punished and Andrealphus will be there to take advantage.
Its genuinely a well thought out plan. I'm actually impressed.
I hadn't even thought of it like that, but I agree. The thought behind it is impressive.
Yet while I agree, there is one simple fault in the plan: what if he never saw on TV that Blitz was getting executed? I feel like Andrealphus forgot to think of that. Stolas could've just been in his library reading a book and not have noticed. And then Andrealphus would've gotten nothing and an imp would've pointlessly died.
So while it's a genius plan, it's so crazy to think about how easily it could've all unravelled.

In the text messages between Asmodeus and Fizz, Fizz says "See u on TV", indicating both knew the trial would be on TV.
Even without that, I feel like Andrealphus threw in the assassination accusation, not only to put the final nail in the coffin for Blitzo, but also to anger the royals enough to influence them to make an example of him to the other imps, making his execution live on TV.
Its possible Stella told Andrealphus that Stolas now resides himself on the couch all day watching TV. Stella may have heard from Octavia, since both meet on weekends. Andrealphus may have taken that into account while formulating the plan.
Even if Stolas hadn't saved Blitz, it still could have worked in the plan. Stolas would have found out about it eventually. In a fit of rage, he may do something stupid and Andrealphus takes him to court. Either that or Stolas' mental health goes down and Andrealphus takes advantage. Either stirring up trouble, or just claiming Stolas isn't mentally there, Andrealphus gets what he wants.
This is my interpretation anyway, so feel free to disagree :)
@@wolfiegirl83andrealphus could have argued that since stolas was so weak that an imp could take advantage of him would mean that he wasn't deserving or capable of doing his job and have him stripped of his titles anyway, since he already commented on stolas's weakness during the trial

The great fact about this ending is that Stolas is probably in the same condition Blitz was after the Fire of the Circus: without anything and despised by everyone.
But there is a big difference: Stolas is not alone. Blitz will never leave him after all this, and he will help him to fight for Via.
Exactly, Blitz was abandoned by his family left alone, no one cared about him, so he did whatever to survive. Of course, he isn't proud about his actions but now he is trying to be better.

Stolas went to Ozzy to have Blitz LEGALLY travel to the mortal realm because he knew it wasn't legal on his part
So they are on trial for the use of the Book, not the crystal
Yea the crystal is fine to use. They cannot get in trouble for using that.
Some have also pointed this out, even implying that technically I.M.P. work for Ozzie (or, at the very least Asmodeus is their benefactor and ensures that their business is legal within Hell's laws.)
So basically they don't need the book anymore for that specific reason, but ofc Stolas needs it back if he doesn't have it
I love how vague Stolas' song and confession are. He tuned into the trial one minute before Blitz was set to be executed and immediately left to stop it, so he has literally NO clue what's going on. Stolas doesn't know why Blitz was brought in, or what he's confessing to, just that Stolas has to take ALL the blame off him in order to save his life

The Trial was about illegally using Stolas book to go to earth. So since it’s not allowed they assume Blitzo stole the book, but it was Stolas who gave it to him to he was found guilty.

I just know that Octavia's mum and uncle are gonna manipulate her into thinking that Stolas doesn't love her, especially since we've seen in earlier episodes, one of her biggest fears is that her dad will abandon her and she just saw him risk sacrificing himself for someone else. Yet, after he stripped of his power, status, and wealth, his only concern was what was going to happen to his daughter.
That very much seems to be the case as there was a line in the Season 2 trailer where we hear Octavia berate to Stolas that "you don't love me or mother, you only love him" which definitely looks like Stella plans to manipulate Octavia to resent her father like many bitter parents in a divorce tend to do to their own children in order to spite the other parent

Ozzie and Bee did what they could for Blitz. The spoke out, tried to have a vote, but were shot tf down. What could Ozzie have said that would help?
"oh sorry that this person drove into Walmart without a license, but don't worry sir, he has one now that I gave him!" is what his argument for Blitz would sound like. "Oh sorry Satan that Blitz used Stolas' book but he doesn't need to now that he has a crystal I gave him!" IT PROVES BLITZ HAD IT.
Also I really love Andre. He's like a classic love to hate Disney villain. I'm not sure how i'm feeling about the music though...it feels too....triumphant? Like a bait and switch type moment. The finale is gonna rip us to shreds I know it.
Yes, and the only other thing Ozzie had was Stolas confessing to him that he has feelings for Blitz and isn't sure if it's mutual, but that's not something Satan is guaranteed to listen to, Andrealphus could still spin it into a Stockholm Syndrome thing, and then Stolas's name would get dragged through the mud to his fellow royals. And if it comes out that he gave Blitz a crystal, would he be punished for enabling Blitz's supposed crimes? Bee knows less about the situation but is less fearful of getting a snapback because she has no stakes in this while Ozzie does. I'm glad they both at least tried, but it was two against four so I can't blame them much for not fighting harder. They had no chance of winning if it came to blows.
That’s pretty much all the villains in da Helluverse. They’re all DIABOLICAL but fun and funny.
The one thing that gets me is that Ozzie wasn’t even the first one to say ‘let’s hear him out.’ He followed Bee’s lead and she was the one who went hardest with defending Blitz.
Like damn dude, that many helped save your boyfriend. You couldn’t have even throw up the first token protest, even if you thought it was pointless?

I loved the father-daughter moments between Loona and Blitzø in this episode. First Loona keeping the picture of her and I.M.P, her heartbreaking reaction when Blitzø's about to be executes, and then finally telling him she love him. So cute! I also love how she helps take care of Stolas.
It’s really funny-Stolas and Loona have never once interacted(except presumably on the phone, when Stolas calls IMP so he can talk to Stolas).
I hope they get to talk during Sinsmas.

Apparently, this episode takes place between Hazbin Hotel ep 4 & 5, so Lucifer is either at home playing with his ducks or helping Charlie. But I def wouldn’t put it past him to not want to attend these meetings bc he’s deeply depressed.
Also, I love how this ep confirms that Verosika still has a bit of love/care for Blitz. She was visibly freaking out seeing him almost executed 🥺

Vivienne confirmed that Satan was lying when he said he was in Hell "before the Golden Angel's fall." Ozzie and Bee's looks are meant to signify that. Hell was created when Lucifer got Eve to eat the apple. Se just wants rule, and acts like he does when Lucifer isn't around. Which is all the time.
That's a very prideful thing to lie about It's kind of ironic for satan to do that when pride is supposed to be Lucifer sin

Lucifer didn't intend to create Hell, Evil or the Sins, that is a byproduct of giving Eve the apple. It was totally unintentional. Through his actions he created Evil and Hell and thus was banished there. The problem is we don't know the timeline between the creation of Hell and when Lucifer got banished there. We know some time had to have passed because we were told Evil grew and festered in Hell BEFORE Lucifer was banished there because THAT is why he was banished.

I loved the parallel that they did with the golden feathers between blitzø's hallucination (where he was perceiving Stolas as someone sitting on a throne, not caring about him) and Stolas' sacrifice during the process, where blitzø finally understood how much he mattered to Stolas

This is an interesting change. Now Blitzø has the fame and respect he always wanted, while Stolas is at his lowest point and mistreated. I'm interested to see where it goes. Maybe it'll be what Stolas needs to finally realize his unintentional classism. From what we've seen, he may even grow to prefer not being royalty, provided he gets his daughter back.

Yes, I personally love him so much. He’s a great antagonist, he pulled such a smart move, knowing all these circumstances would make Stolas lose all power, and he’ll have it all. That’s written so well, imo. And! He’s a PEACOCK. My fave BIRD!

Stolas lost everything to save Blitzø. Such a poetic, bittersweet ending to this episode.
The Deadly Sins (sans Lucifer, most likely for copyright reasons) have all assembled. Personally, I love the designs they gave Satan🐲, Leviathan🎏, and Belphegor🐑.
Related Note: Poor Stolas just can’t catch a break this season, can he? At least Blitzø and Loona have taken him in.
Side Note: Viv confirmed on Twitter(I refuse to call it X) that Satan is lying about being Hell’s original ruler and that he’s using Lucifer’s absence from Hell’s affairs to rule with an iron fist. Stolas' exhausted "always" at the end is so heartbreaking. After all that emotional turbulence, Blitz finally shows him the reciprocated love he LONGED for only after he lost everything. His conflicted tone before falling asleep makes me anticipate the hell outta the next episode.

Remember in the trailer when Octavia said “You never loved mother and you don’t love me, you love him”. That’s not her talking that’s the manipulation Stella has influenced on her. I hope Sinsmas is about saving Octavia and the possible death of Andrealphus or Stella.

@@ConfirmedRandom Still there's just 2 people that Stolas live for! And its Blitzo and Octavia! He'd do the world for either, and Blitzo was literally on death row! And its not like Stolas is the perfect person, we know that. He's impulsive, emotional, overthinks constantly, and struggles to understand others point of view. He simply tried to do whatever he could to save one when their life was on the line, but unintentionally ended up more or less losing the other, even if he cares just as much about Octavia as Blitzo. Heck this man spent 2 decades forced together with Stella, living through her abuse and coping with it, just to give Octavia even the slightest resemblence of a normal and stabile childhood! And only started to cause a rift after he had had enough with Stella, hitting bottom, and believing there could be a better life with Blitzo rather than with her!

Is Viv not allowed to crossover her own characters from 2 different shows? As nice as that rubber duck cameo from Lucifer was, it’s sure a missed opportunity for him not to show up. I imagine it also makes it confusing for me of who’s really in charge of Hell based on Satan’s dialogue in this episode.

A24 and Amazon have rights and publishing rights to Hazbin Hotel. They are in the same universe, but there is only so much they can do to connect them without there being legal issues.
