Everything they did was magnificent!! Robert Plant...vocals/harmonica Jimmy Page...guitar/Theramin John Bonham...drums John Paul Jones...bass/keyboards/mandolin/guitar
It was the studio version that was perfection that constantly made in the top 3 Year after Year after Year. At one point, Casey Kasem said that Stairway to Heaven was the 2nd most requested song in history. behind "1 - Happy Birthday.
I share those goose bumps, with ya, Sarah. Really saddened that younger people were not able to experience these shows live, but thank GOD there is video of these moments! Great Version of Stairway, Thank You!!
THIS BAND WAS SO DAMN TIGHT...look at any other live performance of ANY Zeppelin song...they don't ever play it the same way twice..this solo is played differently by Page EVERY TIME...simply amazing...only other band i've seen do this consistently was the Grateful Dead...and as great as they were, they can't hold a candle to Led Zep...listen to the 73 MSG version of this live performance and you will see the difference...so tight that they could improvise with every song
Hi Sarah! "Stairway to Heaven" released in late 1971. It was composed by the band´s guitarist Jimmy Page and singer Robert Plant for their fourth studio album, (often titled Led Zeppelin IV). The song is widely regarded as one of the greatest rock songs of all time. Suggestion: "Robert Plant - 29 Palms" (Live on Top of The Pops)
I don't think I've seen this concert on youtube.....Wonder what year this was? I've seen it when they were around this age and when much older. BOTH great!!!!
A great live performance of, perhaps, their most loved song, & one of the most loved rock tunes. Do yourself a big favour Sarah & listen to the studio version. Sheer perfection.
It's John Bonham on drums, affectionately known as Bonzo, and it was his son that played at that tribute thing with Heart. He checked out early unfortunately and that was the end of LED zeppelin. Jimmy Page is on the guitar John Paul Jones is on the base and the keyboards and the mellotron and whatever else. And of course Robert Plant on vocals. I love your enthusiasm for this. I'm glad you're getting to experience the stuff
Brilliant song and performance always loved this song, you should do a reaction on a band of three brothers. Boyce avenue has over 16 million subscribers they do originals and covers .most covers are better than originals, easy on me,my immortal, never enough to name a few.well worth a reaction, such a beautiful voice the lead singer has.
Awe ! You did the wrong version ! The performance from the Madison Square Garden concert is much better. Try Whole Lotta Love from the Madison Square Garden concert next.
The GOATS OF BLUES/ROCK! No argument will stand up...PERIOD! Only Steve Ray Vaughn, and Double Trouble can stand next to them. Steve is even better then Jimi Page, Page said it!
ALWAYS listen to the original studio recording masterpiece sessions of any legendary artist of the classic progressive rock era IT MAKES NO SENSE TO NOT LISTEN TO THE EXACT REASON why it became part of peoples souls otherwise you ruin your virgin listen and you are hearing some version always different if you want to understand HEAR EXACTLY WHAT YOU WERE MEANT TO LIKE WE ALL DID
Everything they did was magnificent!!
Robert Plant...vocals/harmonica
Jimmy Page...guitar/Theramin
John Bonham...drums
John Paul Jones...bass/keyboards/mandolin/guitar
Hard to fathom that this song came out in 1971-more than 50 years ago! Still just as awesome !
❤️

Have never seen this video version before. Thanks for playing it! Four great rock artists here blasting away in their epic rock song!

A song from my youth. I remember learning to play the guitar intro. Thank you very much for your reaction.
Gateway drug to Led, but there really are many more gems, dare I say even better, in their body of work.
"STAIRWAY" to Heaven!
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@gidion4004 thank you for the correction 🙏🙂
That's ok, you don't have their names straight, yet, but your passion is contagious!👍
Thank you 🙂
Next Led Zeppelin song should be "Kashmir" Live from Celebration Day Concert. Their last performance as a band.
Cheers
Jimmy Page- Guitar, Robert Plant-vocals, John Bonham-drums, John Paul Jones- bass guitar and organ
