- this is a simple transition edit that I have been wanting to do ever since I heard the whole Dreamland album.
both songs mean a whole lot to many of us, so I hope you enjoy this simple edit.

@@jarbear This one was quite simple, solely due to the structure of the song. I just cut Dreamland at the right time and faded in with the beginning of Helium on Audacity. i remember the first time i listened to this album when i heard the beat of dreamland at the end of helium i started crying. it was so beautiful and so is this whole album. i would pay so much money to get the experience of listening to it for the first time again

Does anyone else feel emotional whenever the audio dialogue with the woman and kid at the end of Helium comes on... especially sense Helium is technically the last song off of the album ;-;

Sounds like a mother's love to me, something some of us haven't had in a long time, and others maybe ever. Maybe something we don't know we miss. Though I know the children's voices and the video clips throughout the album are of the members of the band, some of these songs also strike me as a couple going through a breakup, and losing that happy family dynamic with their children. The same sadness, opposite end.

this feels sacred. not just the smooth transition (although the poster's talent shines through with how *smooth* it sounds) , it's a million things in my day that led to finding this. the original songs mean so much to me, but something about this moment will never happen again, and i feel so lucky to be here on this video listening to these beautiful songs that were meant to be fit together like this
i'll also definitely be back, so that's good news for me

The way the songs on the album flow into each other and then eventually loops from Helium to Dreamland gives you a sense that listening to the album was all an illusion... kind of like a dream; a dream you wake up from and don't quite remember in detail but the sensation of having had it lingers, in an eerily pleasant way, until you go back to sleep and repeat the entire process. Each song is like a fragmented memory of that dream; a vivid image that jumps out at you but doesn't really make sense on it's own. But together, these pieces make a perfect picture.
And in a sense, if you really listen to the lyrics of each song, they are each micro-stories about someone's potential life experiences; about abuse, abandonment, not being understood, rough childhood experiences, all things that could crop up in dreams - or nightmares - and haunt you without you really remembering what you're being haunted by.

So as the weirdo I am. I have associated thg he song Dreamland to romanic feelings for a friend i had (exactly a year ago) because i found the album at the same time i caught feelings. And recently i started to gain them at the same strength if not stronger then before again, so helium to Dreamland is like the realization I had feelings again and remembering that off sick feeling I had before and how its coming back.
