One of my favorites bro!!!!!
This movie is gorgeously shot. Beautiful lighting and cinematography, great saturation, creative direction and sound design. Actors who gave their all. Also the gore is top notch. A masterpiece.
Well said. Lot of brilliant shots in this
This was the first horror film to give me nightmares at 11 years old. Freakin love it!
Haha nice!
It's insane how they made this films on no budget. The dedication that must have been needed for that, I respect that. Others would just abandon their dreams and go work in a warehouse or something, and I'm not speaking negatively on people that do that, but it's just absolutely crazy how someone can be so passionate for filmmaking like this. Sam Raimi is the man
Yeah the commitment is outstanding! Always admired Raimi
One of my all time favorites. Bruce Campbell is genius
I think the tree limb scene in the woods is distasteful, but I love this movie
Sam Raimi said he regrets doing that
I love how Raimi and Campbell have never strayed from each other. Love the Evil Dead franchise
Their friendship is inspiring
Love Evil Dead!
One of the greatest horror films of al ltime!
👏👏
🔥🔥🔥
I love this film for its ingenuity, but Evil Dead 2 is the cherry on top for me due to the balance of shock horror/humor. Army of Darkness is a different silly creature altogether and wouldn't even need to be rated R if not for random fanservice nudity in one scene
Yeah Evil Dead 2 is top dog
I've seen a lot of people saying that this movie looks amateurish and doesn't age well. But I disagree. Many people forget that not only was Sam Raimi 19 years old when he directed the movie (in fact, he turned 20 during production), he also had to work hard to make it at all. And there was no massive budget, no elaborate sets apart from the abandoned cabin, or high class make-up and effects artists. Nevertheless, the results are still impressive to this day!
Well said
The BEST one 🙌🏻
👏👏👏
Never seen any of the evil dead movies 😂
You should, they're great!
💪💪
Pizza poppa!
😂😂🍕
Such a classic horror film. I was always disappointed with the second one as I felt it was way too comical. This one actually felt like there was evil in this movie.
Yeah I loved the straight forward horror feel
Great movie! Unpopular opinion, but I wish the series had never gone slapstick comical. Kinda ruined it for me
