Fun fact: I wrote this song when I was in South Africa (I DID get 'explorin' like I had wanted to! I wrote it around the same time I made the "Just a Friend to You" cover)

Nice song Lilly. At first I thought it was about a person but then realized it could also be about growing up and leaving home/parents.
I always love your music, and this is fun and energetic! I feel you are talking to your parents and even though you love us and will always come back to us, you want and need to explore the world and have room to grow...and roam!
It felt like a person to me but the huge smile was incongruous with that so it was puzzling. I mean, who's happy about leaving a person? :)

This song is amazing Lilly, I think my ears have been blessed
I love it! For me, the song is about leaving the school I grew up in. It's been two years since I left it and I wouldn't want to go back (as a student) because I just grew out of it. But if this corona-shit didn't exist I would've went back for an internship for a few weeks. I'm really sad that's not possible now because it's a very special place that represents my childhood and I'd have loved to see my teachers again. It will always be my home but I'm gonna keep exploring now I guess :)

Very good song, Lilly! Your first song? You are def talented. I can relate to this as a 'place' because I will likely leave my home state once my current family situation changes. Your lyrics"What am I if I'm alone" hits the bullseye for me. I need to be close with my forever friends. I guess mine are mostly back west where I lived during the 80s. 'Cept this time I'm likely too old to return, unless I become a snowbird. lol! I'm just another lost lesbian. Seriously, this is a great song!

At about 2:38 all three Lillys do a little eyebrow thing and it really grabbed my attention. This song makes me think about my girlfriend because we've begin together since I was 16 and I feel like we may never develop as individuals. Being long distance for college has helped with that some, but then I start to worry that we'll develop incompatibly :-/ There's always something.
I get that concern! But it is possible to grow as an individual while with someone else- you just don’t want to be codependent. Have you heard “grow as we go” by Ben Platt? Your comment made me think of that song. Your decisions are up to you :)

Great job Lilly! Very creative and inventive especially during this time of isolation (event though you didn't originally intend it to be applicable to the current situation).
I would love it if you found something on my channel to sing! I have hundreds of original composer pieces from various composers and topics, all with proposed lyrics given freely to the composers. Very few have ever been sung and recorded. A common comment from the composers is that they wish they could find a singer to sing the lyrics for them. I am sure there are a large number of them that you would enjoy singing and that would make the composer and me very happy to find on your channel. They are all in Karaoke type format and ready to sing if you wanted to take the time to learn the lyrics.
