@@DHollandTravels the decorations were great but not as extensive as some ships I’ve seen, especially Queen Elizabeth. It certainly felt festive on the ship. We were disappointed to miss the light show but it was our fault, when all said and done. The ship was about a 40-minute walk away so, as I said in my commentary, going back, changing, out again and back made no sense.
Thank you for taking 'us' along. They sure do deck the ship out for the Christmas period. What I shame that it was colder than it seemed in Malaga, those angels must have been stunning all illuminated.
@@SoloonaCruise thank you for watching. The ship wasn’t decorated throughout but the buffet and MDR were nicely done. It wasn’t too bad in Malaga if you kept moving but once the sun started to go down you really began to feel the chill. The angels *are* stunning when lit and it was disappointing to have missed them but it was too far to walk back to the ship to change and come out again. There are a few videos of the son et lumiere show using the angels on UA-cam so it would be worth your while to search for them.
Hi, really enjoyed the video thanks. Just wanted to know if you would give me permission to use a short clip from about 3.07 to about 3.20 on our live stream tomorrow? I will give you credit for the clip. Really impressed with those decs, they certainly go to town on the Explorer which is brilliant to see. Many thanks.
@@midatravel thanks! You’re very welcome to use an extract from it. Any problems getting the bit you need, let me know and I’ll email that clip to you. BTW, the chirruping noise is coming from the toy train. It only ran for about a day before someone, presumably from Reception, got it turned off until we docked at Tenerife and the first passenger turnover took place.
@@Rockdoc2174 Thats very kind of you thank you,. We have a Christmas theme and i think like us our viewers will be quite surprised by the level that Explorer go to, we have been on two Marella ships at Christmas but this is on another level! Will Credit you on the stream and when the stream gets published to You tube i will ensure i give you credit in the description. Many thanks once again. Look forward to seeing more of your vids. 🙂
@midatravel you are welcome. I always enjoy your vlogs so I preen myself (just a bit!) when I get recognition from a more-established vlogger. My name’s Keith, btw, and I’d be happy for you to call me that. Rockdoc is simply a jokey alias I started using just after I got my mining engineering PhD (doctor of rocks. Yes, I know! 😂) but I’m long retired now.
The Christmas decorations on the ship looked beautiful! Sorry you had such a chilly time in Malaga.
