Grey comes from them being kinda like a neutral gang, so instead of a color it’s just neutral, 59 comes from the highway 59 that separates the 7th ward to the northside (anyone correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that’s where greyfivenine comes from)
So highway 59 kinda separates a white and black neighborhood in New Orleans that’s where the grey comes into place. Lake pontchartrain separates the northshore (north side) from the city limits of New Orleans.
g59 is a freemason thing, thats why they always say “Grey59 Yeah I signed my life away” at their shows, this is them intending that they signed a deal (sold their souls) that costed them their life (eternity in heaven with god) G59 is a group of freemasons.
