I still miss Art Bell's great voice in the night. There are some wonderful specialty podcasts now, and I am grateful for the internet. But it was something special listening to Art Bell & guests talking *LIVE* late at night on AM radio about ghosts, UFO encounters, unexplained everything as well as anecdotes about his cats, knowing that others across the country, awake in the wee hours, were listening at the same time. May he rest in peace.

Lived in Paramp Nevada 2014-2018 for 4 years. I really liked living in Pahrump. Rented a manufactured home on about 1.5 acres of land. Very peaceful, surrounded by mountains, so quiet. One of my very favorite things was waking just at sunrise and sit with my cup of coffee and listen to the birds singing . I would watch raven parents teaching their young to hunt and fly. It was so quiet out, you could here the wind going through their feathers as the ravens would fly over me. Came back to California because my hubby and I became grandparents. Great memories.

I am so glad that you gave a shout out to Art Bell. I only have half a dozen or so legit heroes, and he was one of them. Coast to Coast is still on the air, but it is now hosted by a guy named George Noory. The network and George himself screwed Art, and the show is a hollow shell of what it used to be.
A lot of people thought Art was a nutcase, but if you listen to his shows, you can hear the amount of belief he had in each of his callers. The true genius of his show is that he allowed his guests to talk, sometimes at length, without being a dick to them.

We used to joke about going over the hump to Pahrump for a ride at the ranch. Art Bell always had some interesting guests on his radio show and kept me awake driving back from the NTS swing shift. Pahrump has a colorful history.

Was in Pahrump Saturday 11/6. Actually camped at a big truck lot next to a grocery store. Perused Pahrump Saturday. Town is bigger than I thought. Then went north of town and camped at Big Dune. Stopped on the way at Area 51 Travel Center and Brothel for a selfie. Love the area all around Pahrump. Thinking of buying land there. EDIT: Oh man! I just realized the parking lot I camped in Saturday night is right across the street behind you in the last shot! I remember seeing the ice cream place but didn't remember it from your previous video.

I always 😂 when any UA-camrs refer to town's with tens of thousands of people as small. The nearest towns surrounding my rural location ranges from 200 to 3200. Rapid City is the nearest small City. We'll have to checkout Pharump when out that way and in need of a small town feel 😊😎

A few years back, the local police used to watch the brothels, if you went inside they would pull you over to identify you, then your name and car license were published in the local paper. I took my friend there and somehow they knew he bought services and he got published even though I was driving.

In early 2000s they most definitely did, go ask the Madam or find a reprint of the pahrump paper you'll see the column on the lower right hand area of the front page. I remember the day I found out, it was when I walked past the newspaper rack in the gas station next to the fireworks stand, when I discussed it with the clerk she said she was surprised I didn't know that.

When I leave Porterville I'm going to Nevada and look for a place to live, California is unsalvageable the inland of Conservatives is shrinking very badly here in the valley. Had to hide so no one would interrupte me, didn't work but I got to watch most of it though. 👍👍👍👍👍❤🇺🇸 Before I forget HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all my fellow Marines 246 years November 10 1775.🇺🇸🎂👍
