The lady who prsents this program has just the most beautiful job of the history of this saddy world, we all love you my queen
Yeah Cheryl is the best
I am jealous of her!! Always the best artists on here:)
She was having so much fun when KGLW was on
Neal is such an accomplished pianist and his songwriting just gets better and better. His band are really solid and I see him beginning to gain a larger audience which is long overdue. Big up Cheryl and KEXP for putting him on!
This is my first time hearing him. Love his piano style.
Neal is absolutely incredible live. Make sure you see him and the crew.
saw yesterday night, blasting !!
I don’t think he changes set lists like jam bands, but if I’m wrong I’d be happy for this years NYE show cause a lot of jam fans love Neil and the band
I saw Neal open for Black Pumas and immediately became a fan. His band puts on a great show. Definitely recommend catching them live
Cheryl don't lie. I do have a new band to follow. Thanks KEXP!
Wow !! Love that 70's style, back to my childhood !!
The piano is an amazing instrument, warm and powerful at the same time.
He shares that virtuosity Elton had as a young artist. Clearly influenced by that eras greats. Lots of Leon Russell in there too, but totally his own man.
@@strictlynorton Neal definitely has the Tumbleweed Connection vibes for sure.....good stuff...One of my favorite lesser known Elton albums
Jesus, this is real. Awesome musicianship. Been a fan for just a few months but feel like I've known him forever.
WE LOVE YOU NEAL!!!!!! YOUR MUSIC BRINGS ME UNMEASURABLE AMOUNTS OF HAPPINESS!!!!!! THANK YOU
Just saw your band last night in Toronto opening up for Marcus King...Wow won't be long before people are opening up for you, amazing band amazing songs, I'm 60 and have played music my whole life and you brought me back to a time when music was GOOD..I thought I was watching Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, your a combination of all the best of the 70's but you are still so current and so refreshing. You seem to take all the best from bands gone by, early Billy Joel, Doctor John, a little Disco ....Band is amazing I could go on and on ..thank you for a great night
Oh my, these fuzzy headed freaks of the funk bringing the goodness!!!
The sound of drums here is so sweet!
Pure 70's sound, love it too
Sergio Rios did a great mix!
Happy to call this guy my friend. You're doing great Neal.
These guys are so underrated (generally speaking) and deserve a much larger fan base.
Unfuckingreal to see these dudes live. The energy before Marcus King was UNREAL. First time I’ve ever seen them and in Chicago at that. So good.
Caught Neal and crew on the Wilco Sky Blue Sky Festival in 2022 and have been a huge fan ever since. Went to the show the night before this recording at Madame Lou's, the Sweetwater in Mill Valley, went up to Vancouver and again at the Crocodile. This band is absolutely raw talent, no two shows are the same, they never disappoint. Just incredible.
This Changes album (the instrumental) is a must. Long time without hearing something of this caliber. You mean music, man. Thanks, KEXP.
New fan of that man and his music. Not just the music though, that is one likeable dude…and the band as a whole are one personality. An absolute pleasure to watch em workin it on out.
heard Neal yesterday for the 1st time.. thank you again KEXP!. Saw he's playing with Marcus King in Toronto and got tickets immediately. This is really great stuff. The groove at the end of Changes is like a giant dose of endorphins.. amazing!
Neal and his band crush it live. A must see
Love Neal! Great record. Only heard/saw of and met him last night in Toronto for the first time opening up for Marcus King. Yeah~
Thank you Cheryl for another introduction to another great band! Super fun live performance! ❤️ KEXP
Four phenomenal musicians. I was lucky enough to see them in London in 2022. Haven’t enjoyed anything so much in decades.
I'm an old lady with a HUGE crush on Neal Francis... OMG! Love this guy and his band. 🥰
First concert I saw after 2+ years of COVID was Neal. He puts on a show, good stuff. Colemine is killing it.
Me too. Saw them in the home town at an amazing venue, Thalia Hall. Unreal live band!
Neal's with ATO now!
I saw Neil Francis last night in New Orleans, what a great performance! A great band, a must see if there in a town near you
Man cheryl looked so happy after they played changes.
That METERS shout out was killin!
I saw them open for Marcus king in Oct.... Never heard of them and I came away liking their show better than Marcus King.... Don't get me wrong Marcus was awesome, but something about Neil and his band that just blew me away!! Hugh fan of these guys now... can't wait to see them live again!!
That's cool, I had never heard of Marcus King until today because he is on the bill for a festival in Indy. The bill is top to bottom amazing so far.
SO good. Alameda Apartments has been on repeat lately around my apartment
Just seen Neil Francis on Saturday. What an amazing performance! What a band! What an amazing piano player. I'll be seeing them Everytime they come through Detroit or anywhere in Michigan! Keep up the great work gentlemen 👍🏼
Only just clicked on the new KEXPbait...Only 2.02 minutes in and lovin it.. Lovin it..lovin it like that...It is wicked...Piano tinkling reminds me a little of classic Supertramp minus the hire pitched vocals...
Great call on the Supertramp vibe 👌
getting a big kinks hit from the second tune
Good Morning: Holy Mackerel, the woman speaks truth--do have a new band to follow.
Real Magic! Really Real Magic! Oh my word!
These guys have been touring relentlessly. And it shows! Bravo
just saw this band in Cincinnati last night. They were phenomenal.
Man. Awesome. What a cool, retro sound. Love it!
Found new music. What a band. Second song is the killer. Thank you so much. I love the whole show.
Love Neal Francis!
Neal, your vibe of love and feeling a specific moment are just great to follow and listen to. The Journey is awesome.
I'm really glad I started listening more to Neal. Prometheus is probably my favorite.
He is his own thing for sure, and I hear so many influences blended together: Richard Manuel from The Band, Elton John, Dr. John, Ben Folds, even Ray Charles.
So good.
I'm hearing some Bruce Hornsby in here too.
They've got the best feel
never heard of them thanks for turning me on these guys rock
Changes is such a masterpiece, been waiting on this one for a long time so thank you KEXP!
When sound & songs are just perfect ! Pat from Belgium 😊
Saw them opening for Marcus King in Toronto , Never heard of him before , Great vibe live he brings , Woth seeing if around your town cheers
unreal musicianship
Yes !
Looking forward to seeing them live tomorrow night in Chattanooga TN. Opening for Amos Lee 😁
We visited their Rotterdam performance this October. It was awesome! Thank you, to the whole Neal Francis band!! Hope to see you again soon.
Where The Music Matters!
Look forward to seeing Neal here in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada for Harvest Music Fest this September! Great sound! :)
Soo Great, it just keeps sounding better and better. I hope you guys come to Vancouver bc again !!
They're coming to Fuji rock this year. This should be a good one.
Mi nuevo Reyyyyyyy
dale gato
That rhythm section sounds sooooooooooooo good
Maybe this is the best Live on KEXP I've ever seen. Amazing performance and a really interesting interview. Cheers ✌️
Yeah, probably, 'ever' ('period').
Off all those hundreds of session, you ALL heard, of course.
#voidCliche
Wow thanks!
Finally!! COLEMINE RECORDS REPRESENT
True Musicians!!!
👍 bravissimo
I knew I would like this video and music before I clicked on the video.
Indescribably Good !
Fucking brilliant!!!! You guys have illuminated my Friday night! :-D
Wow
I saw these guys last night 9-27-22. They were so much fun to watch and also great music
Yeah, pretty sure Cheryl Waters has one of the best jobs in the world 😀
Alameda Apartments is my fav cuz it sounds like a cross between Billy Joel and Steely Dan and Jackson Browne
Coola !😉✌
Well, someone has a new fan...
Check out everything he has, it's all great!
Wow this dude is a boss on the keys!
Great forum
Real Elton John “Tumbleweed Connection” vibe.
Primal scream vibes
So true.
100%
Yep nice notice
❤❤❤
Cheryl is my dealer.
the talented mr. ronald weasley (headed to the ball)
it's pretty groovy
Damn
Amazing duo band, but its spelled “Neil Frances” (as the duo); not Neal Frances (just the vocalist)
It’s Edward sharp meets Jim Croce
Wow same voice as Damon Albarn !!
Вау, мені подобається 💔
Meant to say "high pitched vocals" LOL...
This is very reminiscent of Tumbleweed Connection-era Elton John.
Channeling Freddie Mercury on the piano.
First!
They sound good and also their songs get a little snoozy
Encino man is that you???
Só tinham que arranjar um vocal mais marcante, de resto tá perfeito.
Elton John and Billy Joel vibes
I would rather say Allen Toussaint
They got the groove in this first one but lyrics leave something to be desired
great sound ,camera production is bad , never shows the band play ing together. individual closeups are lame
Cheryl’s voice seems weird somehow… maybe she was sick?
Your music is awesome, you need to find a good vocalist and it will be something
Sorry his voice is limited cause i really like this guy
There are a lot of musicians that some people consider to not have "good voices" who have really stood the test of time... Dave Matthew's, Leon Russell, Bob Dylan...
Like who???
@@CaponeCraps …Donald Fagen….😊
Please cut the draaawwwl, Cheryl .
With all sympathy.
Saw Neal Francis open for Les claypool last night. Never heard of them. They KICKED ASS
