Tristan also named his dual swords Mael & Estrossa. So there's a character named Mael & a sword named Mael, & two characters named Estrossa & a sword named Estrossa. Tristan seems to like naming his things after characters from the original series.
i don't think he's returning back, he's a HUMAN, and a mortal human, so, the one where you saw there is just probably a parallel of backstory about the old gen/nanatsu no taizai/seven deadly sins

@Wizzzxz Escanor (horse) is one of Tristan's oldest friends, it seems. He had the horse since he was a kid, so I think he has an admiration for both the original Escanor & the horse Escanor. There's nothing wrong with viewing the horse in such high regard if the horse means enough to him. Sylvan, the horse owned by Anne, is Anne's best friend right after Percival, Donny, & Nasiens, so I guess some knights just really like the horses they ride into battle with. Also, the Four Knights of the Apocalypse are based on the Four HORSEMEN of the Apocalypse. Since Tristan has a horse with some fair significance in the story, I think the other knights will probably get horses or something as well. Giving the horses important or legendary names shouldn't be that strange if they are also important characters. Sylvan can talk post-timeskip, so Escanor can probably learn to talk using Anne's magic too, which would build on the horses character. I honestly like the horses enough to consider them actual characters & not just animals.
What the fuck has happened with the quality of the animation. I have not watched it since the fifth season. Now It has become like something drawn with paint.
Something about the colors that makes it a little too shiny and plastic compared to the prequel. The animation is also stiff which make me not wanna watch it. Also Percival's hair triggers me immensely lmao
