I use to watch MTV Grind in 1998 and I was 15 years old at that time. I can pay any thing if someone can send be back to 1998. I seriously miss those golden days.
When I was like 12, "The Grind" was on in the mornings before school. I thought it was so cool to hear remixes of my favorite jams, paired with a dance party on the beach. But my mom wouldn't let me watch, and I didn't understand why! Looking back, now I understand why.
I was there!!! Unfortunately, they didn't film me. The Last Best party I ever attended. Not a single Ego in site. I easily made life long friends there. one of my Best moments of my life. 😎 I'm glad I grew up as an Gen X. I feel so bad for the youth of today.
When i was young, i would watch the grind every day after elementary school. It was so awe inspiring to watch A Night At The Roxbury... essentially come to life!! So throughout my teen years, i would practice every day in front of the television screen, mimicking the maneuvers and styles of the dancers.... hoping one day when i was old enough, i would road trip it out from Seattle to wherever they were at and get a taste of the limelight - even if just for one episode. Then i get to highschool and they cancel it after my freshman year. I knew there was no longer a reason to live. But thanks to youtube, i can relive my childhood memories and dance my imagination away. Now every once in a blue moon, i'll curl in a fetal position and sing about my aspiring dream and belt out... "WHERE DO YOU GO? MY LOVE...." *tears*
I feel you... I'm back to school with modern teens. The major topic on student parties is "How can you dance like that?" and I just go "Well, back in my day we had MTV Grind"
Ahh...I was on 5 episodes of this..At the right place at the right time to make it on vacationing with buddies. Filmed em all in the same day. Very tiring. After 3 episodes you were like ok i'm done. Probably 1998 or 1999.
1996 was a good year... Club music was all the rage. The Spice Girls were becoming international hits... Alanis Morisette was still angry and killing it... People were doing the Macarena & Electric Slide at all of the cookouts and gatherings... The national gas price was $1.23 per gallon ($1.02 in my hometown). Not to mention, we had La bouche & No Mercy to keep our Discmans & Walkmans going for hours! Man, what a time to be alive... I'd give anything to go back. I miss my teen years.
You have no idea ... well maybe you do ... how I earn for the 90''s .. it was so exciting like the world was progressive ....we were care free looking back .. pre 9/11
yeah, I always loved the Grind from the Hardrock Cafe and Casino in Las Vegas. It stilll brings me in the endless- summer- pool-party mood and somehow it feels like yesterday...cant believe 20 years have passed!
Back when I was 14 me and my friend us to watch this everyday just to get a glimpse of one guy the one with black long hair with the black vest and red shirt around his waist doing like a Russian type dance. Its funny now we where crazy teen girls with a crush. This brings me back to good times.
@@theblowupdollsmusic Better late than never. Really, I loved your comment, and I can't stop laughing when I see our dear Ted giving it his all. Greetings from Spain!
Ooh, the good ol' times, when MTV actually had music!!!! Oh my... FUN! How old were we? 18... 20ish? It was about *having a GOOD time*, not about the clothes. I wonder how the people in the video had experienced it and now, how do they feel, when they see themselves? For me it's like another life time. xxx
Stella Johnson I remember this song and watching the Grind. I was like 14. I miss those days so much. Just glad I got to grow up with this music and not what the kids have today.
SCOTT DISTEFANO That was it... The Grind! Yes. Oh gosh. (I didn't pay attention to the title) This was on MTV for a good few years. I loved it too. We grew up on it indeed. From 14 up to 18 or so. How did it all change so much & so quick? Is the internet to blame? These days they "all make music", but rarely there is one who is real a musician, a true artist. They get a club beat, repeat one or two words and there you have it.... modern music or modern rap. Me too happy that we at least had a childhood before it all went downhill. x
I was 16 in 1996 it's hard to believe it was that long ago but on a side note I'd love to see today's kids dance like this lol I don't think they could....
Life before cancel culture. I miss those days 😔 This was before the media manipulated people into things like BLM, Disney wholeness agenda, and so on. Here you see all different races having a good time.
I miss these days. Life was so much simpler. Anyone else think it would be neat to watch this video with how these people look today dancing around? I was around 19-20 when this aired. I've taken care of myself ever since. I am literally the same weight I was back then. Almost all my friends....not so much.
I really love the grind makes me feel like a teenager again and I really miss the 90's and now this is 2024 who miss the 1990's ❤ 😂
that vibe... will never return
its returned at this moment we are watching and listening
This video is probably the best thing on the internet.
lol! you wish!
Such good times. I would give anything to go back to 1996 even just for 1 day!

I wish techno Viking was there
Back when there was actually variety in shapes and sizes of women and it was acceptable on tv!!! So much has changed in such a short period.
Really? Because they all seem like the same slim body big tiddy women you’ll see today too
What are you talking about lmao there weren't any fat women on tv... These girls are all pretty and thin, just naturally rather than surgically
If I could only bring back old times like this one....
great songs I enjoy listening all of them right now...
Back when MTV ruled the waves.
Cuando MTV aún era chingón.
