Hi Laura I’m so jealous of your new machine. Bernina is the top of the line. Glad to see you I’ve been MIA from UA-cam. Glad to see your still at it. I can’t wait for the demonstration.
Wow, what a beautiful machine. I am jealous, but very happy for you. I will live vicariously with you and all the new projects you make, which I can’t wait to see.
Hi Laura, I enjoyed the unboxing. I love new machines. I am happy you got this beauty. I am looking forward to your new creations with this beautiful toy. Enjoy! Greetings from Chicago.
Wow that is a fantastic machine. All in one. It has everything all in one. That is fantastic. I would like to see how it works. Will look forward to all your demos. Congratulations 🎈🍾🎊🎉❤️❤️❤️
I know your so happy ! I have a simple 200s viking h class ! It isn’t a cover stitch ! My dream one day I hope it I get a cover stitch it would now be this machine ! One day I pray ! In the mean time I can’t wait to learn more about this with you in some of your videos ! Ty for sharing Laura ! Enjoy love ! God bless and be safe out here !
This is truly a dream machine, it has every convenient feature you could wish for and I am looking forward to all the demonstrations of them. Happy exploring ! We eagerly await you!
Definitely pricey, but a very dreamy machine! I have the Bernina L460 serger and I love it, but it would be wonderful to have this machine! I don’t think dark green thread would work for me, but probably white, gray, black and definitely navy for me.
Hi Laura, I've got one on order but I'm not getting mine until September hopefully. Are you going to be showing us how to use it, I do hope so as I love your way of teaching. You look as though you know all about it already the way you were showing us what everything is. Here's looking forward to your first item. Laura
Hello Laura Nice new toy you have! 😝 I have just one question… I understand the serger/overlock option; but what on earth is a cover stitch?!!??? I’ve never heard of that ❤️😀
It’s the hemming stitch you often see on knits. It’s usually two rows of parallel stitches, occasionally three. You can make a similar-looking stitch with a twin needle. Some sergers can be converted to a cover stitch. There are also cover stitch machines which do only that. .
Did you demo a machine first before getting this one? I'm so excited for you, can not wait to see what you will make with it. I have a older Bernina Serger that I use to finish seams and knits with and to serger the edges of my cross stitch with. Had lesson with mine, that we made a book for and I have to refer back a lot, if I do not use it a whole lot. Like the auto-matic threader. Very nice, can not wait to see you use it and what you will do on it.
I bought the Singer Professional 5-thread Serger & Coverstitch machine several years ago. I was really impressed with the quality and features for the price (I got a great deal on it! It was on sale for $320). It even has auto-tensions which was my biggest problem with sergers. I have since heard that most sewers want 2 separate machines so they don't have to change the setup for Coverstitch, but I don't sew a lot so it was perfect for me. Does your machine really retail for $7999.00?
The L850 only has 2 needles. The L890 has 5 needle positions to allow for overlock and coverstitch functionality. A needle threader is not practical with this many needles.
I can find nothing on a Janome 3000 serger online. I’ll be happy to look at its 5 needle auto threading when it actually appears. Do you have a link I can check out with manufacturer’s specs?
Mrs Laura, Do you wash all your fabric as soon as you bring it into the house or do you wash it when you get ready to use it? Also do you sew around the edges or pinky shear it to keep it from fraying?
You make fabulous, detailed and fun videos - Thank you!
That is a fantastic machine. I wish you many happy sewing hours. Thank for sharing. ❤️

Hope you will be doing demonstrations on this machine. I don't know what cover stitch means though. 🤔
To see an example of cover stitching, look at the hem of a t-shirt or golf/polo shirt.

Not in Australia yet.. I won a 325 .. entry level… maybe one day I’ll level up ❤️
Such a fantastic machine and no needle threader? L850 has one.
