Lately my day is not complete unless I see one of your videos. I love your interactions, totally not how my husband and I interact lolol but you're a good example.
About 3 weeks ago I watched one of your videos and was so amused that I was hooked. I subscribed and binge watched all the episodes up to today. I recently was vacationing in NYC and fell down a flight of stairs and broke my left foot and sprained my right ankle. I also sprained both wrists in the fall. So now I get around on a wheelchair and knee scooter. I was having a hard time getting around in my house so I decided to move into my RV. It's a lot easier to get around and I can reach things easier. The distances between rooms is also smaller. Anyway, when I get down in the dumps, I watch your videos and it cheers me up. I also love the professional video editing and wacky humor. I turned my wife onto your channel and now she's hooked. Keep up the good work.
Just purchased a new/used RV and being a newbie, can’t thank you enough for your videos. I love watching- all are informative, entertaining and educational!!! Keep all the videos coming👍😄
Some tips for Alaska. 2 mounted spare tires for both truck and trailer. Auxiliary fuel tank for the truck. Fuel isn't always a guarantee at a fuel station. Good set of tools, a jack and at least a 4 way wrench and/or impact wrench. Minimum of a 2000 watt generator and increase your battery bank to a minimum of 2 batteries but 4 would be better if you have room. You may find yourself between campgrounds for multiple days. You pretty much must plan on being self sufficient and only relying on yourself to get out of trouble. Help can be hundreds of miles away. Carry extra fuel filters for the truck too. Plan for anything that can leave you stranded.
I am currently going opposite the way, and I agree with everything in this message. Except for 4 batteries that'd excessive if you have a small generator, you'll be fine.
I actually look forward to thursdays now!! Y’all are like family after binge watching all of your videos. Fellow nurse here but I do work from home. Just bought my first fifth wheel and I am now trying to talk the BF to go FT… he is still looking at me like I have three arms but I am working on him.
I drove from the Dallas/Fort Worth area to Fairbanks, Alaska in April for my summer job in Denali. You are going to see the most amazing and beautiful scenery on your drive. The roads are pretty good and the frost heaves are well marked. I had the Milepost book as a guide. I’ll be heading home in late September. It was and will be the drive of a lifetime in my little Fiat 500C. Enjoy your journey!
Watched this upgrade video and just installed the “rv airflow system”! It’s fantastic! So quiet, cools the camper down way faster.. Thank you for the tip and the link! Enjoy Alaska
How can someone not watch your videos to the end?! Love the bench storage seats! Never understood the chairs...storage is important in an RV! The bench seats are one more thing that does not have to be fastened down, which makes more fun time! Smart!
‘Like buttery biscuits!’ LOL 😂 Good description. Y’all’s videos are so funny. Hubby and I just got another travel trailer, so we are getting re-acclimated to camping life again. Happy travels!
My wife and kids moved into our first RV 3 weeks ago for full time RV living and I really want to thank you guys on our behalf. We started this journey in august of 2022 and finally in May 2023 we finally made a move and purchased and we owe you a huge #thankshanks you have helped us more than you know and I hope one day in the future we get to hang out somewhere extraordinary.
Great video goof balls. I cant believe you waited so long for a mattress lol. That was the first thing i did..sweet water filtration. those recliners look amazing
We've done most of the upgrades you mentioned, but had not thought of replacing the kitchen chairs with those awesome storage benches. We thought we wanted those chairs, but like you, hate to have to secure them every time we move. Thank you!
I’m working on getting my own camper and I’ve been watching your videos and reading the comments and taking notes the mattress was a problem I wasn’t sure how to fix thanks! Love your videos
We watched your "Exceptional RV Upgrades Video" and now we've replaced our dinette chairs with the same bench seats, great recommendation....thank you!
My family andI have pulled our camper to Alaska and back in 2021 and 2022, and I’d like to give you advice for your trip to Alaska. Take the Alcan and on the way up and the Cassiar on the way back. Both are amazingly beautiful but the Cassiar has a lot of unpaved miles on it. Once you get outside of destruction bay in the Yukon, don’t even try driving more than 70 KPH (all Canadian speed limits are in KPH) because the frost heaves are really bad and will sneak up on you. The sad thing is that the road is going to be very bad all the way to Tok Alaska. I’ve seen lots of people post about broken camper frames, leaf springs, and even axels. Take plenty of time in Canada to watch for animals and the scenery. Carry an extra 10gals of diesel in the bed of the truck. Some of the gas stations are very far apart in Alaska and Canada and the comfort of knowing that you have some extra fuel will take the stress off the drive.
When we moved from Alaska to Arizona we had a uhaul we were driving down. In the Yukon in the middle of nowhere we got 2 flats. That was a nightmare 😂 Be prepared for the worst. Lots of pot holes.
Y'all are the best! I don't even have an RV, but I love watching your videos. This info is perfect for folks who own RVs, and folks who just like to dream about owning one.ha
Another amazing video. I watch yall every week but I didn't realize all the upgrades that you've done. Thanks for sharing all that ya'll have done. Stay safe
Thanks for the update on some of your add-ons, anticipating your travels to Alaska. The wife and I are looking to make that trip in the future. As always, continued safe travels.
You guys are doing such a great job with the videos. Can't wait to see what things you find on your way to Alaska. That trip is definite on our bucket list.
Pulled a 40 foot trailer on the highway in 1981, the locals said the road was in the worst shape they had seen in 20 years. Only paved roads were near larger towns, the majority was rock, gravel and mud. Had days where we made only 50 miles and could only travel 10 to 20 mph. Some parts were so slippery the trailer or truck would start sliding off the road. You guys have fun and enjoy the views, also the mosquitoes are the size of VW Bugs.😂
My favorite upgrades so far have been the Micro-Air thermostat, the Levelmate Pro+, the RVLock keyless entry, Pepwave Cellular router, and installing a Synology NAS with my entire video and music library installed. I love being able to turn my AC on while I'm on the way home from a day out and having it cool when I get there. I love knowing when I'm the closest to level I can get without having to get up to check my bubble level on the counter. Being able to unlock the door while I'm grabbing the groceries out of the car is fantastic. Having internet where-ever I can get a cellular signal makes it so I can work remote from just about anywhere I want to be. And when I can't get internet, I still have movies or music without taking up space and weight of a huge DVD/CD collection. My next upgrades are Victron equipment and LIFEPO4 batteries and a SeeLevel tank monitoring system. I can't wait.
We are new full timers but we have been campers for all our lives. Recently retired and will be hitting the road in three weeks. Destination: Alaska! We went there last year on a cruise/land tour for three weeks and fell in love. Then our son, who is in the Navy, got stationed in Anchorage, so naturally we're going back! On the way we'll be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary too!❤ So if you see a couple of doofusses who look like they are following you and don't quite know what they're doing, they are... and they don't. Hope to see you on the way. We'll be looking for you... in a good way! Ha! 🤪
@@PamW2009 there is a campground on the base. I’m not sure what Fam Camp is but the campground is for military personnel. My son is checking on it to see if we qualify to use it because my husband is an Air Force veteran. We’re not sure if it is active duty or retired only. If we do it will be awesome because my son and his family are in on base housing.
@@PamW2009 also, it’s not actually a Naval base. It’s JBER which stands for Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, a combination of Air Force, Army, Navy and I believe the Marines are there too.
Thank you so much for this video. My wife and I just got our mattress from Brooklyn Bedding. Tried the same one you guys have. So much better than the stock mattress in our 5th wheel. #thankshanks
Always love to get stoned and watch your videos 😂 I’m currently saving up to build my own mini house on wheels out of a cargo trailer… very excited too hit the road in a couple years. I just started watching you guys a few months back and your content is getting better by the video! Thank you for the all the laughs n smiles, safe travels!
I haven't commented in a while.. But 100% yes to the thermostat. It's so convenient and works so much better than the stock thermostats. Being in the north, sometimes you need heat and AC in the same day and I like that it has an auto feature. Most RV thermostats don't. Looking forward to hearing about your trip to Alaska. Hopefully you get some good boondocking opportunities!
I’m so glad that you are getting to go to Alaska. Everyone needs to see that gorgeous state at least once. We will be flying up to Anchorage, Cordova, and Nome this summer to see our daughter and grandsons and son in law, and we will do some traveling around the state together. I am so very excited. It would be so much fun if somehow we crossed paths. You are going to LOVE Alaska.
Great list you two. Been thinking about a couple of your upgrades and a made a few myself including the air conditioner air flow. It was a game changer.
Dang! I love your video's. Funny, and informative. So refreshing verses how my travel vloggers I have on subscription have lost focus to what made them enjoyable to watch. Keep up these videos. Your a breath of fresh air in the stinky shoebox of travel vlogs lately! :-)
Love you guys.. we just moved into our sierra luxury 38 okfo 3 weeks ago and still getting the hang of things. We will be living full time for the next 5 years+ hopefully. Buy man today was our toughest travel day so far ... lol couldn't have do e it without you guys!
And another bit of advice… the roads are pretty rough from Destruction Bay, crossing the US Border, and on into Tok, Alaska. We did that route just one week ago (heading home). Take it slow… frost heaves, potholes and construction zones run rampant!!! Canada does a good job with orange markers for hazardous spots!
Can you do a video on your desk set up? I’m a remote worker and your setup looks really nice. Some details (if it’s not already out there) would be very helpful. Never mind, found it! Love your Chanel.
WOW you have upgraded a lot of stuff. Three things that interest me are the 1. AC upgrade because It can get hot in side an RV in the summer. 2. The filtration system would be really good at the beach. I use the tube filter like you showed us and it works okay but I still get the salty taste. I will be looking into the filtration System soon. and 3. The Lithium batteries. I will probably go with three of those and three solar panels. Okay the Bonus would be the air pressure system to let me know when the tires on the RV are low. #THANKSHANKS. Safe Travels and Have a great time in Alaska. I'm Jealous.. Hello to Dexter.
Woweee!!! So many upgrades for you guys! Loved them all and I cannot wait to watch you guys travel to Alaska and what you will do in Alaska in the summer. #thankshanks for these videos. Safe travels 🥰🤩💜🐱🐾🚌
love you two and your vids.... and you've saved me $ with your discount codes... I'm brand new to RV life... just bought a class C... thanks again, from an RN in Binghamton, NY
Fellow nurse here and I not only love your channel but was extremely impressed at your dedication to become debt free. I'm about to go full time and considering Grand Design among a couple others. Have you had any major issues with yours besides the tree incident?
Another great video. Love the upgrades. You'll definitely need them on your Alaska cruise (Oh, that's right, you're not going on a cruise, you're RVing)!
Nice vid, I think we will do the benches in our 380FL. Be careful on the Hwy's in Alaska there hard on the RV's suspension and especially with the front window of the trailer, lots of trucks kicking up rocks
Tip: If the temperature in your RV is hotter than outside -- open the windows and turn on the vent fans until the RV temp drops to the temp outside, then close the windows and vents and use the AC to lower then temp. It is a lot quicker that way.
Just a suggestion, maybe do a video on your cooking experiences. Suggestions on indoor and outdoor. I believe you two have a Blackstone. Is that working out? Any good meal tips?
I love you guys so much!! I haven’t bought an RV yet… I’m in the dreaming stage right now. Can’t wait until it’s my turn! I love that you are doing Alaska and I can’t wait to see the videos. ❤❤
Another great informative video. I have almost every one of the upgrades that you mentioned. You're spot on. I went with the Waltech thermostat instead, as it uses wifi or cellular. It switches to whichever is available automatically. Just for the record, if RV Airflow here's you call it Styrofoam, they will be very quick to correct you. One last item... it took you until now to upgrade your mattress?! You've been missing out on a lot of quality sleep. Please keep the videos coming. Oh. I'm in the middle of a forest watching and writing to you because of Starlink. Zero bars out here. You've got to love that.
We have the same Lion Energy batteries and we love them! They are game changers over our original AGM’s. BTW - Our 280 watts solar easily keeps them charged. 😊
nice video - who installed the lithium batteries and inverter? I am looking at the set up - do you have 2 inverters? What all did you install and does it run entire rig or just some?
The wife and I were having dinner at Cracker Barrel and I realized it was #ThanksHanks Thursday. Dinner tasted even better after that. Hope to meet you guys on the road someday. You guys are great. Oh and say hey to Dexter for us
We did the AlCan Hwy last summer with our 36' 5th wheel, it was a great trip, word of caution, don't be fooled by the black top on the road. That's where the frost heaves are the worse. Enjoy the trip. The earlier in the morning that you're on the road the more wild life you'll see.
I really like that the mattresses come in custom sizes, now do the sheets come in customs sizes too? I guess I need to go to Brooklyn Bedding and find out. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Thanks Hanks!!! This is a great list! By the way, at 8:46, what's the backpack that's in the bench? I noticed you've got your drone and other stuff in that pack & it's exactly what I was looking for!
Awesome video as always. Still some RN travel contracts all around Oregon when y’all come back from Alaska. We’d love to see y’all on the Oregon coast in Newport. Safe travels y’all.
Awesome upgrades!!! Love the storage benches; every spare inch counts in a rig. So many great ideas; will definitely bookmark this video for reference. Thanks!!!
Please share you planned stops on your way to AK. We drove from Fl to AK 3 times and loved it. Hope you have Dawson City on your visit list. looking forward to your videos on your travels.
RV thermostats are notoriously inaccurate. Glad you upgraded a few items. Good that you're traveling and be safe up in "the great land". Don't drive too fast through Destruction Bay...and watch for all the wildlife!

Congrats Diana! That is so awesome =)
Good advise. Some days you may be the only rig on the road!!
Great advice! Thanks so much Ted!x
Congrats on your 5th wheel! It's easy to convince him, just don't show him any of our mishaps lol
😂😂😂3 arms…😂😂😂
I drove from the Dallas/Fort Worth area to Fairbanks, Alaska in April for my summer job in Denali. You are going to see the most amazing and beautiful scenery on your drive.
Great video Thanks for all the hard work y’all do for us RV’ers
Welcome to Canada ! Hope you enjoy your time here on your way to Alaska!
Thanks! 😃
The water quick connections really are a game changer.
Woweee!!! So many upgrades for you guys! Loved them all and I cannot wait to watch you guys travel to Alaska and what you will do in Alaska in the summer. #thankshanks for these videos. Safe travels 🥰🤩💜🐱🐾🚌
Fun and informative. Thanks.
love you two and your vids.... and you've saved me $ with your discount codes...
Thanks Hanks. As always fun and informative
Another great video. Love the upgrades. You'll definitely need them on your Alaska cruise (Oh, that's right, you're not going on a cruise, you're RVing)!
More great info... Ty for the VOD. 👍👍
Once again, another awesome video guys! Love yall!
Nice vid, I think we will do the benches in our 380FL. Be careful on the Hwy's in Alaska there hard on the RV's suspension and especially with the front window of the trailer, lots of trucks kicking up rocks
Thanks for the heads up!
Easy choice wireless is amazing internet option!! And it can be used while driving
Always Awesome videos.
Thanks
Tip: If the temperature in your RV is hotter than outside -- open the windows and turn on the vent fans until the RV temp drops to the temp outside, then close the windows and vents and use the AC to lower then temp. It is a lot quicker that way.
Unless it’s humid out, you just sucked in the moist air.
Very good and yes on the humidity, you gotta weigh those pros and cons lol
We have a mid size dehumidifier when we are in the southeast, allows the AC to work better on start up or just sitting under the RV port.
Tomfoolery for days🤭! Fun😂
I love our dinette storage. Hubby wants chairs...
I'm going to show him this video.
We just installed the Rv Airflow and it’s excellent. It’s also quieter by far.
Howdy Hanks.Great Video ❤
I'm looking forward to seeing all the places you stop at your way to Alaska.
We have the same Lion Energy batteries and we love them! They are game changers over our original AGM’s. BTW - Our 280 watts solar easily keeps them charged. 😊
You two are great. I did a double take. Thank You for the donation to Faith Hope and Charity, Ellijay GA.
Dex is so adorable! ❤
Your always FUN to watch. :)
Hi guys, You might want to look at adding sumo springs to your 5er to help with the rough roads!!!
Safe travels!!
Thanks so much!
Just purchased the mattress you guys recommended. Hope to sleep a lo better soon! #ThanksHanks
nice video - who installed the lithium batteries and inverter? I am looking at the set up - do you have 2 inverters? What all did you install and does it run entire rig or just some?
The wife and I were having dinner at Cracker Barrel and I realized it was #ThanksHanks Thursday. Dinner tasted even better after that. Hope to meet you guys on the road someday. You guys are great. Oh and say hey to Dexter for us
Looking good Hank’s. ❤❤❤
A lot of good info thanks
Thank you for watching!
Your presentations are stellar. Your personalities and comedic skills are infectious!!
Great series! My Son is that age, has his eye on my Volvo 240…
Excellent episode!
Nice upgrades thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
Excellent video
Thank you very much!
