You need to pump the balloons firmer so you don't move as much if you put power on full. I'd like to see a better efficiency of propeller see you go 10mph or faster.
Totally agree with you muramusan, both the air bags were badly under inflated. This enabled the front to raise under more power, and also made the bike lower to the water. If the floats were filled till they were firm, this would stop or certainly reduce the front lifting. Also it would lift the bike about 2 inches higher, preventing the rear wheel dipping into the water and him getting wet.I think he needs to retest this kit,and just inflate the floats properly it would be a completely different experience.
Quick release front wheel when you're going on the water and connect an adjustable clamp to the forks.. All out outboard motors need to be adjustable. Better known as trimming so ad a lever so that you can adjust the trim as your speed increases
Sweet build! There was a company that used to rent these Schiller catamaran bikes on the Bay in San Francisco & when it wasn't windy out, they were pretty fun to goof off on. I was going to try to make one but never got around to starting that project
how about doing an electric trike ,with both rear wheels being used like a paddle steamer . or same bike and a lightweight axle across the back that the rear wheel can touch and turn for drive ,I'm sure it would be faster
Wow. If there's a market for these I'm sure I could come up with something that would transfer more power and be more rigid. The tubes need some work. Love it. Want one.
Great vid dude. All you need is a higher pitch prop secured well, to allow more water through, a smoother tyre, and pump the pontoons up fully. She should go way better She should
Great video I think the issue is the connection between the tyre and the propeller. The water is giving the prop a lot of resistance but the tyre connection is slipping and not giving the prop the extra power your giving it. I different prop will more than likely make it worst and cause the tyre to slip more. I better connection to the tyre is needed with less slippage. Have a great week.
The propellor has got a bit of a ‘semi’! If it’s mounted in a more rigid way that would certainly help. Clearly there’s a lot of power loss with the drive wheel shredding the tyre and the pontoons aren’t inflated enough and need bracing better. The propeller is most likely big enough but I’m guessing the drive might fail if you did sort the above issues and got all the power down. It still looks like fun though👍
Great video, I was thinking you had some balls going for the waterfall! I think the inefficiency was caused by the fact the prop mount was able to move, if you can get it to stay more firmly in place the speed will improve. If you want to change the prop design you have three choices which are increase the length of the blades, make it a tri blade, or increase the pitch of the blade itself. I wonder if you could get some 3D printed that would hold up otherwise you would probably need them moulded.
Love your channel dude. I was wondering if the propeller is spring loaded to stop overheat when it gets tangled in weeds and such. If so the power of your bike setup could maybe exceed the grip of the spring under load therefore the axel of the propeller would be spinning faster than the propeller.
Those pontoons look severely underinflated... even if they aren't.. you can always overinflate them for extra stiffness... would make a great video either way it might go faster it might make you swim to the shore Looking at the motion of the frame, if the pontoons would give more stiffness on the horizontal plane it would help with the rocking motion of the bike. That and checking the angle of the shaft/prop as you said. Look into if it's possible to change the prop out, you have a 3d printer iirc so you should be able to make something less optimized for very low rpm There is a very good online prop designer called B Series Propeller generator, always you to save to step/stl file. And there is quite some stuff about 'propellers 101' though I do feel that does sound a lot like I'm oversimplifying since there it's actually all quite complicated if you dive deep enough. But even taking default values and just playing with pitch and rake on different diameter props with different number of blades could be fun and the online generator can give you stl files for all of those with a few clicks.
Brill .... what about a sit on kayak with electric outboard motors ( cheap on amazon ) that run on 12v ...... would love to see you over volt ⚡️ one to 36v or maybe 48v ..... would be too funny .....
I'd use this without the motor just to get through various rivers etc would save me over 20 miles if I could use one of these nip over the river dee an then back to biking 😅
@@DudeStuffcool..what do you want for it ? .do you have it up for sale somewhere or do you have a website or selling page ?or how do contact you off here ?.
Mate you'll never go faster then your hull speed, too much resistance, more power means nothing, water is a different business as it will increase resistance exponentially with more speed, for the same reason you don't put bigger engines on sailboats, you can't go faster and you just waste fuel.
Haha where do I start.😂 Fun project but it's not going far unless completely redesigned but then it would be a lot more money / time. Side not I had a RC boat/plane thing that landed upside down with esc underwater which shorted out and set the battery on fire, looked like a bomb had gone off, that was a 800mah 3 cell lipo...
round the edges of the blade and make it smaller for more efficiency and less drag. the blade also needs more oxygen so as high in the water as possible and stop it changing pitch on acceleration.
No matter what you call the kits they all from China you just add a logo and charge extra ££££ for the privilege 😂😂😂😂 i got kirby kit and one from China exactly the same the difference is hundreds of 3xtra pounds added for the kirby kit and i know what im talking about been in the business for over 30 years just hate people ripping customers off and we all know andy is your mate thats why you promoting his product but still a ripp off mate
So you've been in a business or the ebike business for 30 years 🤔 and as a businessman, you've never witnessed offshore factories 🏭 you've never heard of collaborations? Business promoting? And I'm not sure how a kit that only costs a few hundred in the first place can be hundreds cheaper 🤔 obviously being a business man you calculate those figures inclusive of import duty and know 🤔

Bigger propeller and more weight at the front seems to be the obvious but tiny steps or splashes aye.

This is cool AF as if ebikes weren't cool enough now another way to make them cooler👏🏼👍🏼

Bar raised again bro. I thought I was a flashback. Brilliant mate. Now I just need one that can get me to Holland. Big love

Pump up the inflatable raft more.

sounds like your getting wheelspin on the mech for the prop drive
Pontoons seem under inflated allowing them to crease at the rear beam. Those Pontoons should be very tight.
i thinks it's slipping over the tire, well sounds like it.. ? for me it is a bit too noisy
Yeah stick with the project, consider maybe using 2 prop systems, have you got a dual motor Ebike ?
Love your channel dude. I was wondering if the propeller is spring loaded to stop overheat when it gets tangled in weeds and such. If so the power of your bike setup could maybe exceed the grip of the spring under load therefore the axel of the propeller would be spinning faster than the propeller.
I would just say lithium ion batteries and water do not mix if you end up in the drink

We need a part 2 with new propeller
Great thank you. And now its time to buikd a flying bike.
Fit 2 propellers
And a smaller back wheel
Try it with dual propellers.
Where can I get this kit ?
Propeller pitch and length mate, what a great video 😂
I imagine the propeller is deforming and losing thrust at the higher rpm
I remember the last boat trip did you end up getting your shoe back 😂
Please follow this project up, I was laughing
Brilliant
needs a smooth back tire not knobbly
Bro there were people fishing there😂😂😂😂😂😂😂were
Always wanted to see a dude stuff top gear special 👏😂

STILL ON AD AND I MUST COMMENT WTFFFFFF 😂😂😂😂

@paulwylds8350 I'm selling it without ebike kit it works better without to be honest
@@DudeStuffcool..what do you want for it ?

For$1000 this kit needs better pontoons. The material they use on these are old pool inflatable, not the fiber infused material of today’s.
Dude i definitely would not cross the English channel to france on that, maybe on a very shallow lake.... Nice try tho... 🤙
nice vehicle
Looks like yiu need more pressure in the floats
Reminds me of when top gear did the van hovercraft😂
imagine this with a surron
Ya pontoons are nowhere near inflated enough or long enough

You’re not worried about electrocution! 😂
Show us the submarine version 😂
haha that's alot of fun.
Cut the power to rear wheel
I needed a good laugh
How tall are you... Just need some perspective chap? 👍
So cool 😎🔥🔥🩷
It's a noisy monstrosity, you'd be better off fitting a battery and propeller to your paddle board or better still to a canoe.
round the edges of the blade and make it smaller for more efficiency and less drag. the blade also needs more oxygen so as high in the water as possible and stop it changing pitch on acceleration.
😊😊😊😊😊
ha ha
You are wet because you are playing in water 😊
Nothing annoying about it at all ?
Whats annoying you about this?

A waste of power 😆
Get a boat😅
too noisey to be enjoyable
