I get the hesitancy to pay Trent too. He's 36 and they use him in a way where they need him to be athletic and that's a huge risk at his age to depend on that.

The real question is even *IF* the 49ers get to the Super Bowl again with Shannahan, it's about how prepared he'll get the team and his bad decisions in the big game. There's 3 Super Bowls already under Shannahan's belt: His first one is Offensive Coordinator for the Falcons in the Super Bowl and two more as Head Coach of the 49ers. Each game he had bad decision making and in the case of the recent one, lack of preparation on top of it all.
As for playing for winning and a shot at a championship? Not all players are like that. Some just want the money.
Last season was their best chance to win it all. The NFC West and overall conference was as weak as it had been in recent memory. The 49ers had a roster that was better than the one that went to the Super Bowl a few years ago and went up against arguably the worst Chiefs team in the Mahomes era and still lost. Good luck getting back there. If the 49ers ever get back to the Super Bowl, I'd only bet on them if their AFC opponent was the clearly inferior team (which given the depth of talented teams in the AFC seems unlikely).
Somebody needs to tell Aiyuk he ain't CeeDee.
Few weeks ago when Purdy played without any starter offensive weapons he was straight garbage.
I can't wait till he takes up 55 million in cap😂😂
Yes. Any qb looks bad when playing with backups and guys who won't make the team vs starters.
@Andrew-it7fb there's a difference between not producing and looking like you've never played ball before.
Without that elite offense, Purdy looked like the 7th round pick that he is. If he was as good as people claim, he'd still be able to show something on the field.
He looked absolutely horrific without CMac/Aiyuk/Kittle/Deebo
@@johanstinson tell me you know nothing about football without telling me you know nothing about football
@Andrew-it7fb lol. You put a great QB in with backups they'll still make plays.
When Purdy was in that situation, he looked like the 7th round Mr Irrelvant that he is. Absolutely horrific.
Without a Pro Bowl player at every skill position, the dude looks like hot garbage.
@@johanstinson It's OK. You already proved you know nothing about football. You don't need to keep going.
Their O line is pretty bad even with all the starters. Most qbs would collapse playing behind that line.
trent williams is not the best tackle in the game, he is just the best tackle at getting away with holding
GB trade christian Watson for Ayuk
Welp…
Dont listen to dumb and dumber talk about the Niners.
Yup. Two fans of two franchises that make stupid and stupider financial decisions
