I can’t believe how few specials (aka unified arts) some schools have. In my school in Maine we have art, PE, music, foreign language (Spanish for the first trimester & Japanese the second), guidance, library, and a rotating schedule on Fridays between art, PE, music and SEL. Feeling very lucky to have a schedule like this and extra planning time with things like that! Thanks for your content as always, you’re awesome!

What a great 1st week vlog! It was not long at all. 🙂 I loved the building community and teamwork project where they created the longest chain. Being a K-5 Art teacher I always feel like I need to get started with content right away since I only see my students once a week for 40 minutes but I'm starting to realize how important doing these activities are. Thanks for sharing!!

Most California school don’t have specials, especially charter schools. You might have a P.E. and music teacher.

@@KathyKellogg I have probably had the same ones for 10 years! I never use them. I’ve been doing this going on 31 years. I teach Early Childhood Special Education 4 and 5 year olds. I needed to hear your words of encouragement today! Thank you! What we do is so different yet I live watching your channel. Keep it up!
Hi Kathy! Very fun first week, I love Foster the people too but I didn't know the song!
I have a question for you or for anyone can give a piece of advise. I work as a private tutor and I have a 5th grader who's struggling with long division. He's getting confused if I ask, for instance, if 3 fits in to 20 - although he knows and he can say that 20 is bigger than 3. I also think that he may have A.D.D. but the parents haven't checked that yet.
Any ideas?
