Damn, during 90s-early 2000s there are so much bands
Yeah for sure, that's where it all started. What's also really cool is that in the last few years, we've witnessed a huge resurgence in dungeon synth, black metal, and neofolk. It's pretty exciting. A lot of new bands and new albums, and new genres and subgenres are cropping up and there has been a lot of dialogue or blending between the dungeon synth, black metal, and neofolk communities, and more recently we're seeing some post rock influence come into the mix as well.
@@n.e.7647 I recently discovered Storm - Nordavind ( Fenriz and Satyr side project). Dungeon Synth with black metal is something Amazing
Super ominous. Nice change of pace. Tons of cathedral ambience. Great album.
Albums like this one here are the reason why I love so much Dungeon Synth.... Awesome!!
The song titles alone are compelling.
It is project of Roman Saenko, author of Drudkh and Hate Forest. Limited CDs was on Supernal recs. Totally recomended to all who support autentic medieval dungeon synth, great vibes.
what constitutes authentic medieval dungeon synth?
@@stupedcraig it’s gotta be out of medieval times obviously.
@@stupedcraig and it must be totally unavailable to buy 😭💔
7 is my FAVORITE. So dark and gritty, absolutely lovely
A true masterpiece. A soundtrack to my deprived childhood
This project, all of the albums, captures that "ghosts of the past" feeling of being in an eerie old medieval building in such a strong and accurate way
This is so God damn good. Love the pulsing evil feeling on the first track
30 seconds in, I'm enraptured. I. LOVE. THIS!!!! I haven't heard a Dark Ages album I didn't like.
This is one of the darkest.
The first track, 'Breath of the Black Plague', reminds me a lot of the original Diablo
Es sublime!!
DA-ToE has always been on the shortlist for greatest dungeon/medieval synth album of all time, as well as the best dark ambient album of all time. I'm thrilled to see it on the channel of the best uploader for dungeon synth on youtube.
That hit when Breath of the Black Plague starts relaxes like a cigarette or a shot of whiskey.
An absolute classic, this is.
Pure mastapeice that is
Yet it's not even on Spotify, weird 🤔
Amazing
This was a fair listen, hope the dude does more stuff 👍
This is exactly what I was looking for after burning out on hideous gomphidius.
I absolutely love the type of bleak dark mechanical growling noises like the one which started this album.
It just so happens that I like to make them too with analogic synths and I also have my own DS project pending.
This is the best shit this channel has uploaded so far.
Good one for sure
Some of these tracks give me huge Berserk vibes. I love it.
right??? big susumu hirawasa vibes
@@neurodermatitis Yes! Reminds me a lot of the dark themes that would play during intense moments like The Black Swordman episode and the Eclipse. Perfect for reading the manga to.
Why is this album not on Spotify? 🤷
Fire!!! Merci!
Amazing work!!i love listen this!
Somehow reminiscent of the darker moods from Aphex Twin's "Selected Ambient Works 2"...
sublime
Good stuff 🤘
Already had this in my playlists but glad it is on a channel that has less chance of being deleted. (I hope).
A classic.
Great content! 👍
spooky
blind leading the blind
Damn i was expecting some real dark black metal but this really is demonic in its own way :D I really like it :D Someof these tracks would really fit well in silenthill 2 :D
Roman Saenko is a fucking awesome musician. Really interesting contrast to his work in Drudkh and Precambrian.
Don't forget Hate Forest ; D
yes, im early this time
Call of Warhammer!
For some reason I read the title as DARK TOES
DARK HOLES!
Wow old ambient☺👍
Super
Read that book,A Hangman's Diary: Being the Journal of Master Franz Schmidt, Public Executioner of Nuremberg, 1573-1617 while listening to this.
39:19
Ah yes, the medieval realm of the PlayStation 1
Is there a blogspot for dungeon synth uploads i can get a link for for downloading this muzak?
This is cool but it's too happy sounding. Got anything more dreary with a more minimalist aesthetic?
BELL
The first track has a “doom has come to this world” feel. It makes me think of the plague arriving in Europe via traders who came from Asia.
Also good to listen to in the time of Covid.
do they not have Bandcamp?
errie.........
best af
Got the cassette of this. Everything Roman touches turns to gold. The exception is "Old Silver Key", 'cause everything Neige touches turns to shit so the album was middling.
Great sounding but I wouldn't say the dark ages is the twilight of Europe lol
it's a reference to the collapse of the western roman empire in Europe
malleus is creepy af
Bring out yer dead!
Way too repetitive, to be honest.
