Five Guys employees are always so polite and do work hard. Feel the burgers and fries are too greasy, but good. Gonna have to try the dog with bacon and cheese. Thanks!
Yes they are!
Agree. Five guys here in the UK 🇬🇧are expensive but for me way too greasy.
$8 for hot dog is outrageous. This is not stadium food. It’s a brick and mortar just like Taco Bell.
Rather would go to Costco
Charging $8 for that Plain Jane hot dog is an insult. I think the solution is to not eat at fast food chains anymore. Frequent local family-owned restaurants instead. You will get a much better meal for your money, and you will be supporting local businesses.
Most local family owned restaurants aren't very good and the since the owners can't be fired they're usually not very nice. There's a reason why chains have multiple locations, because they're food is better.
Family owned business are usually mediocre unless maybe if it’s in a crowded major city. Of course there are exceptions though.
@@ramencurry6672 I live in NYC, where restaurants must serve top-quality food and provide good service to survive. Ironically, due to food price inflation and rising salary costs, you often get a better deal at a family-owned business than at a major restaurant chain or fast food chain. Many people don’t realize this yet, as some still prefer fast food chains over traditional restaurants for various, sometimes psychological, reasons.
@@primalplasma Yes that’s an interesting point you made. Especially in the old days before the internet many people didn’t know about great mom and pop restaurants so of course your typical picky eater would just automatically go to a chain restaurant by default
Awesome that you shouted out Chris' Red Hots! His videos are so enjoyable to watch!
Yes they are!
I just found him recently been on a binge watching him he has really good toppings and choices lol
The bacon cheese dog where I live on Long Island is $9.99. I think the base dog is $7.99.
Imagine paying 20 bucks for 2 hotdogs omgggg we are fucked , I just paid 7$ for a half a pound of Turkey smfh we are done
Stop paying for it and they will lower the prices. people like you and him are causing this by not boycotting. You ever heard of a grocery store?/
Thanks for commenting on the wrapping. That first dog look mangled after you opened it. I’m not trying to single out the staff in this video because it seems everywhere wraps hot dogs way too tight.
I was literally just thinking of getting a hot dog from the Five Guys next door to me. You must have read my mind!! However, not a fan of the split dog. May have to ask them not to.
Five Guys has always been extremely expensive. You are absolutely correct.
First time I can relate to your video, I've had these here in the UK! I feel they're more of a sausage sandwich due to the way they're presented and how the whole thing falls apart when eating. It's a fairly decent dog, like you said, but it's far too expensive for what it is. If I do get one, I'd pack on the toppings and just treat it as a sandwich.
I do remember when Snapple came out, but don't remember thinking it was healthy. Maybe people just thought it was healthier than soda? Whatever they thought, I seem to have missed it. 😄
After seeing this video, I'm going to order that second hot dog and an order of fries. 👍
Places will butterfly dogs so they cook faster and so there is more surface area for charring on the grill.
I agree with not wrapping! They should use hot dog boxes like Freddy's does
Dude i agree with ya they were always expensive.....but 8.00 when does it stop
Remember getting a pound dog in vegas under 5 bucks ...the good ole days
1/4 pound hotdog and a Heineken $1.99 the place right behind the Flamingo
But that was 24 years ago
No sauerkraut? Shut the place down.
I love 5 guys hot dogs honesty. Here in Poughkeepsie hot dog is 4 bucks .
Is it better then Casco?
Curious question: do you tip at fast food joints now in the US?
Oh yea...
Surprised it juicy? It’s nearly a 9 dollar dog. You can get a 6 pack of Nathan’s jumbo franks and rolls for the same price.
You're going to like Crisis' hot onions and mustard. 👍
Can't wait!
I hear five guys does a good Chicago style dog, might be worth a try. Just from looks it did look pretty legit to me.
Before Snapple there was the Motts vending machine
I know this is random Chris, but did you ever have the pleasure of eating Pizzerias chips?
I did not.... please explain in full detail..
@NYCHotDogStands Yes sir, I'll do my best.
Here it goes..
In the 1980s, Keebler, the well-known snack food company, introduced a popular snack called "Pizzeria Chips." These chips were a unique twist on traditional potato chips, offering a distinct flavor reminiscent of pizza.Flavor Profile: Pizzeria Chips were designed to capture the taste of pizza in a crunchy chip form. They typically featured a combination of tomato, cheese, and Italian herb flavors, along with a hint of garlic and onion. This flavor profile aimed to replicate the savory and aromatic experience of eating pizza.Texture: Like traditional potato chips, Pizzeria Chips had a crispy and crunchy texture. This provided a satisfying bite and made them ideal for snacking either on their own or alongside other foods.Packaging: Pizzeria Chips were typically sold in bags similar to those used for regular potato chips. The packaging often featured vibrant and eye-catching designs, with images of pizza slices or Italian-themed graphics to convey the flavor inspiration.Marketing and Promotion: Keebler likely promoted Pizzeria Chips through various marketing channels such as television commercials, print advertisements, and in-store displays. The marketing campaign would have emphasized the unique flavor of the chips and their suitability as a tasty snack option.Popularity and Legacy: Pizzeria Chips gained popularity during the 1980s, becoming a favorite snack choice for many consumers. However, like many food products from that era, they eventually faded from the market as consumer preferences shifted and new snack options emerged.Nostalgia: Despite no longer being available, Pizzeria Chips hold a nostalgic place in the memories of those who enjoyed them during their heyday. They are often remembered fondly as a tasty and unique snack from the 1980s, evoking feelings of nostalgia for that era of pop culture and snacking trends.Overall, Pizzeria Chips by Keebler were a memorable snack from the 1980s, offering a delicious flavor experience that resonated with consumers at the time. While they may no longer be available, they remain a beloved part of snack food history for those who remember them.
I’d take a Costco hotdog over that any day.
Those hot dogs look so sad. For that price, they should have toasted the rolls. At Costco, 1.50 for a hot dog and large soda. All beef. 1/4 lb. Kosher. Looks so much better. Could have gotten 2 for less money.
Great review. Absolutely too expensive since day 1.
Mystic hahaaa and Nantucket nectar
Hey man have you ever done a Nathans review?
Great review and greatest vibes ever and channel respect from 205 pisces black alpha male Birmingham Alabama home of the Civil rights moment
Let's go Brandon 🎉
If prices of food is going up like this. They are going to force people to cook at home indefinitely. This goes for all fast food spots.
Five Guys is not good... sorry, it does not deserve the hype at all... for 8 bucks that hotdog is sad
It’s good just expensive. Their burgers taste like a cookout burger.
@@motec8222 Hell no. I can make a much better burger in my backyard
The burgers are good but I have no idea why they even bother with the hotdogs.
In-n-out deserves way more praise than five guys. Yeah some can say their double double is “just a burger” but the taste especially for the price/value is way better than five guys and still people like in-n-out again with price factored in. I hope Chris had explored the west coast let alone had tried the famous Double-Double while they had kept their prices under $5 for it before the inflation hit.
Definitely wouldn’t buy that dog for $8!
Five guys is extremely pricey my kid used to order the dog and she always liked it.
$8 for a dog from a place with zero character? That's a hard pass for me.
Chris red hots wrapping their dogs is off putting for real! The dogs look bomb but smooshing the toppings and peeling off the paper is so gross.
Costco. For $1.50 you get a hot dog and drink. Hot dog is good as always
I like the 0.01 cent tip. mocks five guys in a way we give all the money you cant pay your people we know so bad they shouldn't have to pay workers lets go back to the slave days where people are owned.
1 cent tip??? When? I tip $1
Ill only go so high on how much ill pay.....now remember the ingredients in a hotdog....really 8 bucks
i will never understand how people willingly pay 5 guys prices. been there twice and dont see the need to ever go back. food no big deal.
florida 2 dogs for $2 still the best deal
Heck no
that's why I only eat burgers at Five Guys
Snapple came out way before 5 Guys
1st dog Not an great presentation but dog if tasty big ummm ok .. lacking toppings ++ 💰 pass ..
2nd dog better hit it w Tapatio 💥
Peach Snapple 👍 healthy drink 😱 🤣
five guys dogs kinda meh and overpriced IMO. Snapple goes back to 1972, Five Guys started in 1986. and hell yes on Arizona Tea cans @ 99 cents, some places jacking their price up lately, but props to Arizona for keeping their can prices down and same size etc. always refreshing,
Why do I feel like it was a thing in the 90's then?
@@NYCHotDogStands may depend on where / when it was distributed in your area. like I don't recall seeing any Five Guys till sometime in the mid 2000s around here in NJ, had no idea they went back to 1986 and I feel like Snapple was a late 80s thing for me.
It’s getting to the point where you pay that much for quality and it’s a miss. Little or no pride in the fast food industry these days. It’s highly recommended you learn how to cook and perfect your technique if you already know how. Much more satisfying!
8 dollars!😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬nutz!
Yes, they have always been expensive & 100% not worth it in my humble opinion
Their hot dogs are fantastic and juicy.
That for 8$? I hope most went to pay the staff then
Very expensive for what it is...
There is no hotdog worth 8 dollars unless it is a complete meal combo. Their BLT though, at least where I am, is so loaded with bacon that it is worth every penny! I could not believe how much bacon was on it and crispy like bacon should be.
Christ is King, Repent and make straight the Way of the Lord.
Only a fool pays over $8 for a hot dog.. Then goes back for a second. Shut this page down
Sure thing.
Five Guy is always overpriced and very disappointing. I stopped going there years ago. I bought a hot dog once. Never again.
For $8 you can make 8 dogs at home
Come on
Nope.
$8!? ive had a better hot dog at a movie theatre
No way
That looks terrible!
Straight up not wrapped that’s what she said
Forget that bullshit
hotdog looked okay ..meh for 5 Guys on the dog .. like all your videos its like we are eating with ya ..great job keep up your videos
To me $8.73 is like really $9.
The hot dog was $8. The tip added a percentage, making it $8.79. It is $8 if there is no tip.
Five Guys is the best hot dog I can find in the UK so far unfortunately!
Chris, Publix had Sabrett 100% beef skinless bun-length hot dogs on sale last week for $4.30 per pack. I considered it a steal, so I bought two packs. 👈⬅
I bought 3 packs 😂
@@fatsdulange Baha! 👍
love their burgers, but I wouldn't get a hot dog there. thanks
I agree, they have always been priced on the higher end.
The only thing is great that you can pretty much get all the toppings for free (except cheese and bacon). And a few month ago I saw someone saying you can get as many slices of bacon for the one charge of bacon. I do not know if this is truly correct, or if someone was just trolling.
If anyone can confirm let me know.
I have gone to 5guys it was not that much still expensive but not eight dollars maybe six and it was just ok thought it would be better
I tried it 5 or 6 years ago and it was priced at $5 and I thought that was too much. I feel like if I get a burger they should allow a hot dog as an add on for a discount.
I love Five Guys burgers but think they're overpriced. Never tried the hotdogs there.
Great Video Chris, We Have Five Guys Here. They Are Busy Most Of The Time. The Hotdog Looked Great.
Id rather go to Sam's after seeing this... looks tasty but man at Sam's Id be having a buffet at that price
Love their cheese dogs and their small fries are humungous. I'm a fairly big boy and I get two meals out of the cheeseburger and small fries. I don't eat at McDonalds but I know if was always good for a cheap meal- though days are long gone.
Nah fuck that . 2 for 5 with some coke at your local Home Depot, probably with a mini bag of chips as well.
5 Guys here in AZ is not cheap, but one of the better burger joints around. I love thier fries.
I’m perplexed why you were charged a tip on the first receipt. Did they ask you and you agreed or is it an automatic charge because they aren’t servers. They get paid by the hour and I’m damn sure not tipping anyone at a fast food restaurant for doing their job.
I never thought Snapple was healthy, wow , I was smarter than that
You couldn't pay me to go to five guys again, they've ALWAYS been expensive now there out of FKING control.
They can keep it...they were always over priced....
That dog did not look great to me…. You can’t go wrong with the fries.
Buddy I have checked your dna and it’s 100% hotdog
Thanks for sharing. I'll pass. I think you know why?
Great Kudos for the ladies.
Not worth the over-price.
Chris do you remember when Snapple mostly sold Vitamin Supreme, lots of juices, the clear cola & root beer Soda's?
Maybe 1980's or early 90's.
Good video
I dont!
No sauerkraut?
another winner video and what you did for the girls they will NOT forgot anytime soon.....perfect!
Forgotten not forgot….
Oh they were all so happy because Chris is such a stud!
😜
The hot dog was $8. The tip added a percentage, making it $8.79. It is $8 if there is no tip.
You went to 5 guys???? Chris, you know better c'mon. 😠
Had to try it at least once.
This 40 something talking like he is in his 70s
Im an old soul.
I’m not gonna hate on five guys, you can get all the toppings you want and the Cajun fries are delicious. Definitely don’t go a lot because it is expensive. Plus they do treat and pay their staff well.
I know seemed like a good dog- an u like me in the sense we don’t like when they cut the hotdog - u didn’t mention that here, but u have in previous vids. Keep the content coming👏🏽💪🏽. Kudo’s
Good point!
You got one hotdog for $8.73.. but your video title is complaining about $24 dollar hamburger drink and fry! What kind of comparison is that. The video title is misleading AF and you just complained but justified the cost of a $9 hit dog🤷♂️..
It's the same old business TRICKERY, the owners price it way high to make it look like it's top quality food, and if people don't purchase it much, they can lower the price or take it off the menu. I always look at prices of food like the price of Art, some like it some don't, and how much are you willing to spend, it's in the eye of the beholder, if it looks gooood you might be willing to try it once😅
Being in Australia, the first time someone said to me " You have to try Five Guys!!", I wondered what the hell they'd been up to on their US holiday.
Sorry to say but those hot dogs look kinda soggy. Probably because they wrap it in aluminium foil. It's just suffocating in it.
Five Guy's dogs re pretty good, but they are massively over priced. If you think they are overpriced Stateside, try going to the ones in the UK.
I have always thought that place was expensive. The food tastes like the ones I make at home. I want something tastier and different than my homemade burgers. It's okay.
I’ve never had their hotdog. But their cheeseburgers are fantastic!
I've never had a hotdog at 5guys, but I do eat their hamburgers which are pretty good. But I do prefer Shake Shack burgers.
