Just to be clear, she's talking about Blasian/Black-Filipina Belle not being done before. There are nods to her Filipino roots on her costume and Filipino Broadway vet, Jon Jon Briones, is playing Maurice/Belle's dad. Anyway, she'll absolutely slay this role.

@aznSeddie Most people just consider her black -- because Asian/Filipina isn't a race. It's more of an ethnicity. Just like in the vast majority of other cultures, anti-blackness exist -- and blacks get pushed to the back.

Even here in the U.S., I've met white Asians, Indigenous people, the brown and hairy ones, and Asians that have skin that's way darker than the average black American -- almost jet black. They look nothing like the white Asians we see on T.V. and in the media.
Gabi is so beautiful. She's really come into her own in the public eye. I've always related to her anxiety of fame and being in the public eye, and choosing to create a persona she could wear as a mask. Never touring and opting to just drop songs and albums without anyone ever knowing her face or her real identity. I've always been anxious about being hypervisible it's good to finally see Gabi introduce herself to her fans, and build this incredible career afterwards. This is truly her second act. What she has been able to do is truly unique.

There have been a few Black Belle's in the past. The first one was Toni Braxton who did it on Broadway. During her run, Alan Menken and Tim Rice wrote a song for her that would go on to be in all Productions of BEAUTY & THE BEAST today..... A CHANGE IN ME. I'm praying H.E.R. is going to sing that in the live productions along with HOME.
Same with Josh doing IF I CAN'T LOVE HER!!
And I hope A Change in Me has that big ending!

These two never disappoint with their music I have all their albums. Josh Groban talking does not match the way he sings. He has a baritone singing voice and talks like he's 17.🤣😂
Disney clearly listened to our disappointment with shitty Emma 2017, so they decided to give us new version soon as possible! Her is AWESOME! 🥰

@xXliaz You're just demonstrating your bias. The show is not even out yet for you to judge how she can adapt her style to this type of production, yet you're writing HER off. Emma is not a strong vocalist. She's an actress 1st, and it showed.
I think Emma may have been able to sing better if she had properly been taught. Instead, they auto tuned it to death, and ruined her efforts.

Why is this being touted as "a 30th celebration"? _Beauty_ was originally released in September of 1991, and, unless my math is wrong, which it never is, that is thirty-ONE years! So this coming one year too late. If you need a film to celebrate its 30th, you should've done _Aladdin_ instead.
