Why my color goes from blue to white to black in stead of from blue to black like yours?

Check the blending mode + the colors used.
I guess giving black to the other line and using blend mode from the light/screen groups will work.

how many strokes did you use?

That is not specific but according to my artboard size it is around 50 pixels.

why does mine look like lines instead of dots and i cant edit the anchor points

They are actually lines not dots. Use direct selection tool to edit the shape.

Well it depends on on how you use it
I myself sometimes used it to make shadows but now shifted to Gaussian Blur. By the way thiss was created with blend tool:

I didn't expand it, I just used the direct selection tool to edit the blended shapes

When you draw your two lines... go to blend - click on make... then go to blend options... done... also @fierydesign thank you so much,
