Saw the Lt Dan Band on base about 10 years ago, what a group of talented individuals! And Gary Sinese is not the main player, every member of the band is extraordinarily talented!

Ever since the Forrest Gump movie, the actor of Lieutenant Dan made his own band and charity to help disabled veterans
CONGRATULATIONS to Gary Sinise on FINALLY being awarded the Medal Of Freedom!!! The highest civilian honor this country bestows. You deserve to stand along with Bob Hope in our respect for your seemingly effortless efforts to honor, respect, and appreciate those who serve and proudly represent America.
Not to take away from any of this, I didn't see him receiving the Medal of Freedom, but I copied a list below of the Medals/Honors he did receive. The guy is well recognized for all his contributions and I absolutely love it.

I dislike the fact Gary Sinise stopped acting, one of the good ones. But then I've learned he is doing this and a lot of charity.....and I am not disappointed anymore, just proud.

I was 18 when I married. My first husband went in the Army 5 months after we married and was in Viet Nam. My second husband served with the Navy and was in during the Viet Nam era. I am also the mother of a veteran who served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Though both of my husbands are gone now, my son is still with us. I am proud of all three. Freedom is not free and no one will know that better than those families who have loved ones who gave all. God Bless Gary Sinise with all that he does in helping our veterans.

My dad and uncle were in many battles in WW2. My uncle served in 3rd ID (Audie Murphy’s outfit) and was in all 4 amphibious landings of war. I watched ‘To Hell and Back’ as a child with him. When I heard that trooper lead that song, it brought a tear to my
eye, remembering my dad and uncle.

My Dad was a 30 Yr. USAF Pilot and Officer! Having grown up as a Military Brat I'm all to familiar with The Sacrifices of The Soldier AND the Families left behind. Having been a fan of Mr. Sinise long before he was Lt Dan, it's no surprise that his influence is touching Generations. I loved his autobiography "Grateful American" and I follow his mantra on a daily basis..."I Can Always Do More" Salute And Cheers To Everyone reading This!

I am glad that Forrest Gump could make it to the concert Lt Dan. I am one very grateful Marine to see the Lt Dan Band but I haven't caught a live show yet. The Medal of Honor that showed up had to be special.

I was in the audience in Pueblo Colorado at a concert by Lt Dan band for a Medal of Honor recipients convention. As he went past me he acknowledged me because of my NAVY ret hat.

Had the honor to meet Gary Sinise at Landstuhl Reginal Medical Center and then see the band play at Ramstein Air Force Base back in 08 or 09 on the 4th of July and to this day I have supported his outreach and Foundation. My daughter was stationed at Naval Hospital Balboa 4 or 5 years ago and the Lt. Dan Band played for the patients, families, service members and visitors. I am a former Marine and was thrilled to have been there.

I agree that this channel should have more subscribers, but I feel that it is mostly in real life as seen above that it matters for this organisation that is where they make a difference. I'm not American but a great many of my relations both past and present served and serve. At least in person American on the whole respect their military.
