I will say, after sucessfully completing a rear main seal for mine, I have promised to only do this again on a lift. Definetly doable on jack stands though.
@@xpsgarage Yeah I would if you going back to the stock box. I would go with the stock C6 shift box. Is there reason a why you didn't just pull the tranny from the rear of the tube?
@@deathstrike2578 the tube needs rebuilt along with it needing a new clutch and slave cylinder. If it had just been the trans I would gave separated it there.
@@xpsgarage great video. Using for reference for next week. I also have the mgw and it’s pretty bad but when doing the anti venom mod. 1 washer changed it to be wayyy better. (2 was too sloppy for me but it’s opinionated) Also check out tick performance adjustable master cylinder. Makes everything way better

Good stuff, bought a 2004 zo6 with 4k miles few months ago..see what I have to look forward to to change a clutch, pretty work.

Good. It really isn't a bad job at all. My last car was a Nissan 300ZX twin turbo and everything about it was difficult,

I have a stock c5 z06 I replaced the shifter in if you need one still.

It is. I may do the venom mod and space out the detent ball some. I didn't really like the way it shifted since it was a little stiff.
