The piece you dug with reliable on it is a lightning protection part from a telephone protector at the side of a house. I’ve replaced many of those in 30 years as a telephone tech
Hi John: This is an idea I came up with the keep my coins separate while detecting. I took a small plastic pill bottle and burned a coin slot in the lid to turn it into a piggy bank. I never have to open a finds box or lose coins by putting them in a finds pouch.
Neat idea, thanks for sharing!
Cool idea!
Great idea finds keeper bottle .Don''t know why I haven't seen it before. But definitely going to make one,Thanks for sharing that
Man, the one time you knock it out of the park with your silver finds, there is no one there to boast about your finds. What they missed out on. Nice bunch of Taco money, too. 😎
glad to see you use the same care I do when returning a plug ..... excellent example of ethical plug method
Thanks for showing everyone how to properly dig and put a plug back together like you weren’t even there. HH 😎
Two beautiful silver quarters is a great day out! Great job John
Nice hunt that old ponds jar acully heald a white facial crean my grandma used to use it back in the day
Great Hunt John. Well done....jealous as we still have snow and frozen ground. But it's getting closer.....That would have been cool if the Ponds Jar had coins in it. :) Nice silvers....
Thank you, appreciate you watching and commenting! Hope it thaws soon!
I usually pinpoint the surface before i dig, then cut a circle. If it's sunny, i try not to expose roots to the sun. I've seen too many holes filled that grass was dead. I do my best to make it not noticeable
John you do a great job with your plugs. Congrats on your silver finds.. ty for the video..later
Thank you!
Nice hunt thanks for sharing!!!!
I was on a bit of a dry spell as far as good finds. Until yesterday, I found a gold watch down by the river. That’s what I love about metal detecting. You just never know what you’ll find and where you’ll find it. Cheers
At 1:45 you have a sawtooth discharge block from an old phone line. You can search them. They were part of a system to control static electricity, I believe.
You had some nice finds!
Nice hunt, we find those Ponds cream jars everywhere. We took about 50 of them home from one of our bottle dumps, they sell quick for a dollar or two a piece. Good Luck on the next one!
God job John. Sometimes it seems like the afternoon hints pay off! Keep it up
that first find looks like the piece that goes on phone or cable line and it would have a wire attached that hooks to anchor in a house wall holding it up from street side to house . I think they also used them on street side to support the line splitting off from main phone and cable line
I like that you show how to dig a clean plug. 👍
Some silver and wheats plus a bunch of clad and other bits.
I just found a Indian head penny coin spill
You did great Man, congratulations on your finds. Great video, thanks Man
Good job pluggin those holes up, bro! I have seen far too many ppl not even put the plug back in the hole. Love the milk glass .. And, congrats on the silver. Happy hunting to you and the boys.
Congratulations on silver Quarters.
Nice score on the silver John!
Expertly dug plugs - as if you were never there. Great finds
I appreciate that!
Great hunt buddy nice finds always nice when ya find shiny in the hole God Bless and happy dirt fishin…Virgil
Hello John,Mike and Gary
I think the thing that's partially white is an old brake pad for a bike.
Nice hunt and finds John 👍
That jar is a Pond's face cream jar
Nice hunt john going solo
Good yard! Thanks for the cool video
Nice finds and bonus video 👊
That thing at 1:50 Might be a brake pad for a old bicycle.
Nice finds John
I found a cream shampoo container (circa 1955) a little bigger than the one you found. It rang up like a half dollar on my machine. I did like you and hoped for coins or something cool inside, but ut was empty. Great video!
very nice ..
Very nice solo hunt John!
Thanks Mike!
Nice job, happy hunting!
It looks like the bottom slide that they would use on an old Ford vehicle for the disc brakes
Been a while since ive had a good p-495. Love those things
Was waiting on the new video!
You need to carry a hand digger! Those huge holes will get you kicked out of some permissions!
Honestly I've never had any issues in 10yrs of detecting, I think the biggest part is how the ground looks moving forward. I've had home owners come out and watch me and are ok after seeing the process. I've seen smaller plugs get sucked up on the next mow, just not enough there to keep them down & in place. I do agree though, a larger plug can be intimidating to see at first. There is too big thought and I've seen that, haha. Thanks for watching!
Bycile brake pad I believe.
Kurt from the hoover boys often scolds others for digging conical plugs. Yet Ive seen others do it effectively. Paystreak superfreak digs perfect conical plugs efficiently with a predator Phoenix. Ive never seen Him strike His target. The shovel in this video seems to be a smaller version of the Phoenix. What is the perfect plug? Straight wall or conical?
This shovel is the Predator Tools Model 22 - Ultra Phantom. I say do what works for you, guess the main thing when in yards is to make sure it looks like you've never been there. Thanks for watching!
@@digthatbeep that's what I was thinkin. Thanks for posting the shovel model
I was wondering what area are you guys out of?
Upstate SC
Where can I buy your finds bag
lootbandolier.com/collections/loot-bandolier-bag
Do you sell shovels?
I recommend Predator Tools for shovels, you can Google their website online. Thanks!
Late look, don't know how I missed this one. Anyone know why they only Mint enough coins for 1 per 1/3 to 1/2 of the Population?
Why are you detecting with equinox ?
Nice silver coins 🪙.
I have been thinking about getting a deus 2 🙏🏽
I have both and tend to switch it up! You can't go wrong with either honestly. Thanks for watching!
