I am confusion, what is "wrong" about buying a guinsoos on slark? He's a hero that has generally lower mana regen and it gives him another targeted lockdown especially against a storm and AM. I see nothing wrong with that choice at all. Would you rather go basher and hope that you are able to lock down the storm while its zipping around? I mean, sure abyssal might be better but I'd say its at very least comparable and nothing stops you from picking up the abyssal in your other slot.
I once met an enemy slark who bought 3 bashers, i didn't know whether he/she was being serious or trolling.
I think slark is only effective if you have so many support, slow or nuke team mates.
But this one is an excellent play. Very knowledgeable and the estimation of damage is great.

No one bought Ethereal Blade. Just remember, it deals damage based on target's primary attribute. So, EB can deal a lot of damage to Slark

@@Prischepkai have not checked ingame and website may be out of date, but according to dota2wiki you are right. "Enemy targets are also slowed by 80%, and take 1.5x your target's primary attribute + 50 as magical damage."
