      It is Logic! I can guarantee you all truly successful people out there have gone through several failures, but finally become successful because they kept trying again every time they fail. You only become a failure when you quit!

      @@esthergrace6466 actually in the first ep ever of the real she mentioned her being a conservative and how you don’t really see people in that political spectrum on these types of shows especially black women. She also went on Fox and said she ended up voting for the lesser of two evils which from her POV was Trump . Idk if she still is a trump supporter... but yes her and her husband did vote for trump.

      +Lion Gang She has hair that is naturally long and thick like that when she's not wearing a weave. I remember seeing an interview with her hair stylist who did her hair before she became first lady. Occassionally her hairstylist puts in a few pieces to change her style. For example if she cuts the front for bangs it's too short for another style so he adds a piece in.

    Of course college is important, but a traditional 4 year school is not for everyone. We need more of a push for the technical and skilled trades. Plumbers, welders, and electricians can make just as much and actually have a more secure future than someone with an MBA. Also there are lots of careers, like mine in Real Estate, that don't require any kind of degree.

    You see Tamera, this is what you should have told the young lady the other day. But instead, you told her what she wanted to hear instead of telling her what she needed to hear. Mrs Mowry said you have to go to college although you wanted to be an actress and you did even though it took you 7 years. I hope the young lady tuned in to this episode to get the *REAL ADVISE*! ....Like Mrs Obama said *You gotta have a plan B no matter where you want to go in life! Most Kids, college got to be that plan B*

      +Michie Oo College isn't the end all be all. I have a few degrees and working on another one. I love academia but it's not for everyone. Even if you don't go to college, you can go to trade school and learn a skill such as being a mechanic or electrician. There's always going to be a market for those.

    • @MegaJohnOtto
      @MegaJohnOtto 8 років тому +14

      +Jenea Nicole but I think her point is mainly to say that don't have one plan, and also have an education to fall back on. I mean trade schools are a form of education or higher education. So I mean taking that route can be a back

      +Michie Oo She didn't her what she wanted hear, she told her to follow her dreams. The girl was clearly miserable in college and wanted to pursue a career as a make up artist. College isn't for everyone, and if the make up industry doesn't work out she can always return to school. Tamera was an actress before she was college grad, college will always be there.

    • @clarke4400
      @clarke4400 8 років тому +2

      Bebe Heart she told her what she wanted to hear. Tamera wasn't encouraging her to go to school before or even after she pursue her make up career. Tamera never said the words you are now saying to me.
      She said do whats best for you (rather vague). She needed to elaborate more on the issue, she was rather one sided knowing she could have explained how she did what she loved and went to school. Tamera was almost in the same predicament, she should have said more.

    I got a lot of money from filling out my FAFSA and I had scholarships from my college. I got my tuition down pretty damn low but I still couldn't pay the remaining balance because my parents just could not help me. I also couldn't get a loan with no credit and had no one who could co-sign for me. I will try all over again but make sure, if you're like me and your parents can't really help, that you apply for every scholarship, grant, and loan you can. I thought my parents would help if I got my tuition down but they didn't and had I known that I would have spent more time on scholarships. There's nothing worse than preparing since the 10th grade for college and literally a couple weeks before Move-In Day you can't go.

      This was the exact thing that happened to me and I was devastated😭😭😭😭.
      But that didn't stop me I kept researching .
      Tip 1: Maybe apply for junior college and get your GPA up for you can qualify for more scholarships.
      Tip 2: Call the college that you really want to go to and say " I really would love to go to your school but I can't afford the tuition". Make it seem like you are having to decide between them and another school.
      *Colleges want as many students they can get*
      Trust me that worked for me they gave me this scholarship out of nowhere lol.

      You have to be on your grind Applying for scholarships like it's a full time job, the money is out there but you have to be diligent...apply for everything and write every essay. Do not become discourage scholarships are available at banks, your parent's job, supermarkets, youth community centers, just about every corporation offers a scholarship...look for things that are gender, race, or studies specific. Sometimes you have to think outside the box...R&B singer K. Michelle went to college on a yodeling scholarship....Student loans are ok if you go into nursing or teaching because those fields will pay for your education usually if after graduation you enter into a contract for a limited amount of time

    • @humptydumpty5921
      @humptydumpty5921 8 років тому

      Oh and community service goes a long way...many scholarships require you to have a certain number of hours of community service...find ways to volunteer to serve others at local community events where volunteers are needed, schools, libraries, hospitals, passing out fliers for non-profits, organizing and/or participating in food drives, blood drives, community awareness programs and fundraisers...all count toward community service hours and look good on your scholarship application.

    • @alaylahmonique
      @alaylahmonique 8 років тому

      You're both right. I know all these things I just didn't go for them as hard as I could've because I was under the impression I was gonna get some help. My parents acted like they were gonna help my entire life then when they start seeing the actual numbers they put it all on me. I brought my tuition (for the Fall) from around 15k to 2k (and some odd dollars) and my parents left me high and dry. The school was even gonna put them on a payment plan. But nope, they thought the government was gonna pay for it all. They depend way too much on handouts and assistance and expect me to do the same. They weren't trying to pay for *anything*. I'm not going to be able to go to that university anymore since I now have a baby to support but I'm going *somewhere* and now I know exactly what I gotta do.

      Marcus, you have success written all over you I can tell you if you put your mind to anything you will succeed. I sincerely hope that you will tap in to your seed of greatness and gave school a try again. I use to have doubts about school myself and never thought I would go to college but when I started believing that I could do it and I eventually got my masters degree. So Marcus don't throw in the towel you're smart and you know you can do well at whatever you put your mind too.

    I needed this! Im a sophomore in college and im still trying to gain some confidence. I have a minor stutter, so sometimes I will not participate in class even when I know the answer! Because I will be afraid to have a block on a word. Dont even get me started on the anxiety I get when i see the word presentation on the syllabus lol Unlike most people with a stutter who have it from a young age, mine started my freshman year of high school.Thanks to FLOTUS and all the ladies on the real im not going to let it hinder my future and the opportunity for my voice to be heard!

I’m a straight A student but there’s this one boy that every now or then when I’m talking about my dreams he talks down on me and says education doesn’t matter. I started slipping a little but after watching this pulled it back. Thanks Michelle and The Real!

    FASA has not only loan me the money for school, but connected me to grants. By choice, sends stipend check to help with your situation. So you receive money while your getting your education, and then you use your education to make money.

    It being that Barack struggled at first, reveals much about this woman's
    soulful nature; usually , a female will not give a seeming to be bum a chance,
    and even less , stick with him and by his side. Much props to that developed
    in heart woman., many females of all cultures are very much so like her in spirit.,
    and even those that are not, are developing into that , gradual.

    • @leandra5248

      Gilberte reading your post I want to encourage you that if YOU love your career that's all that's important. You see you have to live for you and not for anyone else. Everyone always has an opinion on what you should be doing and how you should live your life and most times it comes from a place of jealousy . God never gave anyone else the vision he gave you so they won't understand. I want to encourage you to stay true and hold on to your dreams and not to doubt yourself. Only you can live your life. There will always be doubters and naysayers but focus on what you love and keep your vision and goals before you.
