I've been cutting for 40 years clippers make a big difference but it's the skill set of the barber. I can use Walmart clippers and still make that shit pop. Talent is what it take.
@@ADOLPHBAKER before you start calling names it's the same thing so by your comment I know what you are. Thanks 😂 so keep your stupid ass comments to yourself. I said skill set first so reading is important.
I feel like the seniors cut off more hair but the masters are more detailed if that makes sense. I use both of them. I think oster fast feeds make a softer looking blend.
Steven Gonzales i was thinking of using both andis master and seniors as a beginner barber i feel like the 0 guard on the wahl doesnt really fade good to the 1 so imma try and fade it with the andis what you think bro ?
Kaka nomanches yeah try all the professional clippers. If you’re having a hard time taking out the line between the the open taper and the one guard you’re probably digging in your guidelines. If the zero guard doesn’t take it out open your masters and flick at the line with the corner of the blade.
Steven Gonzales definitely gonna have to try that out yeah before i noticed barbers on youtube would say to use the whole blade and not dig in ive been starting to try that it does help thanks for the advice stay up man 👍
I believe you can have the same fade, by using a WAHL Legend bracket into the WAHL Senior to have that extra travel which is very close to the Masters which opens to a 1.
Great cut, I think it's all about preference, for example, I find blends come out the best and a lot smoother with detachable clippers. I use detachables to fade and fast feeds to detail.
My exact game plan....except in use a masters. I’ve never used a wall clipper. No particular reason. I just always thought andis was a more durable clipper. But as for your comment??? I’m a old school 76er fade and I come bak with a masters and 1 guard for clean up. But by tht time the fade is just about done and the master is for the spot mop
Do you ever take any additional steps when the skin appears to be irritated, or do you just ignore it & finish the cut? Couldn't help but notice that dudes skin looked extremely red/irritated from the very beginning on through the rest of the video. I guess you could get used to seeing it after cutting hair for x-amount of years, but i'd have a very hard time ignoring that.
Seems he has some form of psoriasis or eczema , nothing to really be worried about. Just consult the client and ask if they feel any discomfort when you notice any type of scalp irritation
Ive always felt the andis master blends hair easier than the wahl especially when you get to the .5 - number 1 area. Feel like with wahl you have to so much extra work and detailing that isnt necessary with the masters.
This is exactly what im going through rn i cant seem to fade the 0 guard easy into the 1 with the wahl so im gonna try and use the masters both to help me with that problem
I thought i was the only one thinking that wahl's 1/2 guard didn't cut well hair, when I saw the andis guards (only from what I saw on the internet) I felt like this will cut more hair and more precisely, can we use the andis guards on wahl senior? I'd like to buy the wahl senior for the power and get the andis guard on it, feel like it would be bomb
@@Mike-hy8cs Yeah was looking videos on it but at the same time I don't want to change the whole blade just to put andis guards, I think you can modify the guards with a simple mod so that they can be attached on it
Bro I used my wahl seniors for 90% of the cut but Han always go back to my masters to do the 10% bro so I love both of the clippers they are my go to’s.
Masters are too heavy and when it gets warm it makes my hand sweat wahl clippers are better to me they have the grooves for your thumbs to sit that makes a world of difference for me nice cut bro
Nice fade men keep the videos coming great fading skills . I own both and I love them these are real barber og clippers nothing better then corded clippers wahl & Andis
@@mhamadabdul1503 depends on ur skillset and what u wanna do with either blade. Keep watching reviews or purchase them both for urself cause everyone’s opinion varies. I’m doing that as well but for starters I’ll start with the andis masters then add the wahl seniors.
I was gonna say, that's some dry ass ashy scalp! Homeboy needs that Pantene Pro-V with some argan oil or whatever oil you can find. Fuck use motor oil if you have to! Anything to help this boy!
The threads are in the metal housing, that the metal screw attaches the lever to. So it’s all metal to metal contact as far as the threads go. If you’re worried about it just loosening up, you can put a drop of locktite in the screw threads to hold it where you want. But I’ll tell you barbers have been using the same pair of Wahl clippers for 5-10 years with no problems other than maintenance. The lever is easily replaceable if you ever break it by dropping the unit.
Came out clean bro but what I don’t like about the fade is u should of went higher in the back of the head u can see like little hair overlapping the fade other than that came out clean. The only reason why I say that bro is I feel I’m a perfectionist lol
I set my guide wahl senior 1 close and then with my masters use all the notches To that wahl 1 close and it gives you a smooth blend and if you know how to hold your clipper on an angle you can detail to the 1 1/2 with corners of the masters To me andis master cuts better and i use it more for detailing leaves the blurriest fades if used well
I read someone say the andis have wider teeth than wahls usually and are better for thicker hair. Is this true? Would wider teeth also make the hair texture look different? Needs more passes etc? I kinda wanted an angled taper blade with the magic crunch blade but I wonder if I could benefit from wider teeth
Andis magnet guard's are better then Wahl guard's on fading coarse hair or ethnic hair the Wahl guard's are better on fading straight hair the red Speedo guard's are better for fade cuts with Wahl clippers
I think im going to go with the corded masters, only because im not a barber just wanna give myself a mid fade lolls because of this covid-19 crap and most of the videos say they sound better and stronger then the cordless version plus the cordless is also $300, as for the walh they seem cheap to me like not durable.... IDK if i was a barber or aspired to become one i would just buy all of them...
@@HawkEye3188 My indecisive a** bought the cordless masters AND a pair of the metal magic clips lol. Brandon Elliot Smith I jus bought some brand new corded masters for $100 shipped this week. Check out Universal Barber Supply. Legit site. They are at $125 right now but regular priced at $165.
I’m real detailed when it comes to everything. 😂 like look back at the video and go to the side you cut with the Wahl Clippers. There’s a line within the fade at the front of the fade close to the edge up that the 1/2 guard should get out. Those andis would have taken it right out.
I was wondering if you ever tell your customers with dandruff and the corona virus on the back of his head to get that looked at?? these young guys have no hygiene dude who got his hair cut lookin hella crusty..wtf yo anyone else agree????
I favor wahl senior more but both clippers are great , to me master do a better job when fading straighter hair and the seniors fades better on coarse hair , Great video tho
I get confused since Iv Heard people say andis have wider teeth so they are better for thicker hair than wahls which have closer teeth. I’m tryna decide what setup to get as an upgrade. I thought of taper blade (curved blade) with the magic clip staggered teeth for a textured smoother cut . Seems the wider teeth of the andis is another way to provide a smoother cut but then I wonder if wider teeth let more hair through and make you do more passes . Kinda seems that way the way people are talking about how wahls might do the job faster . I don’t go for super short cuts that show scalp.
