Jimmy is a bit unique in that he is one of the more purely red-pilled leftists I've ever heard speak, especially now. He's always hated the corporate media, he quickly came to hate the Democratic party on the whole with the exception of Bernie, and nowadays he hates Bernie too. It's been very interesting to watch him slowly push away everything and everyone who represents establishment. The reality is that that aspect of the government will be dominated by leeches who will vote for more bureaucracy in order to increase their value and power. Only soldiers, police, and firefighters risk their lives during the course of their service, and as such their devotion to the country is proven. Their service offers up far more than they can get in return. So it's silly to equate such a service with that of a mere bureaucrat.

A small and quick correction: The phrase "Order and Progress" comes not from our Integralistas (Brazilian Fascists), but from positivists. And they hate each other. The art print in the back isn't Art Deco. It is by Alphonse Mucha, a Czech artist who lived part of his life in Paris. The movement is called Art Nouveau. Art Deco has a much different character.

Trevor Gardner. I agree that the starship troopers model, despite some idiots calling it fascist, is very appealing and fair. If I remember correctly however, it’s not just veterans that can vote, but anyone who performed public service. The military was just the quickest way to get there, which is the fairest way to handle such things.
@@abrahemsamander3967 It's a nice idea that any public servant should be able to vote. The reality is that that aspect of the government will be dominated by leeches who will vote for more bureaucracy in order to increase their value and power. That's what has happened in every form of government. You risk nothing by being a paper-pusher or mailman or whatever kind of public servant. Only soldiers, police, and firefighters risk their lives during the course of their service, and as such their devotion to the country is proven. Their service offers up far more than they can get in return. So it's silly to equate such a service with that of a mere bureaucrat.

A small and quick correction: The phrase "Order and Progress" comes not from our Integralistas (Brazilian Fascists), but from positivists. And they hate each other. The army elite turned down our monarchy into an aristocratic republic and subverted the original flag to its taste, very revolutionary in that time.
The Brazilian army is ideologically positivist, which is about supressing all ideologies into a technocratic regime, which you can imagine how our fascists hate it. BTW, our fascists are very peculiar, prasing miscegenation and the catholic faith. It's funny, my great grandfather was integralist, he went to jail few times and he was a dreamer, in a sense, he died leaving the family in debt. My grandfather went to the army to escape poverty and become a classic positivist engineer, and really hate ideologies, he calls himself a pragmatic man.
My father, in the other hand, has a very big passion for WWII and got involved in revisionist literature, almost a nazi, but not quite. Specially because miscegenation is part of Brazil's identity (I think he just like the power of its symbols...but who doesn't?). And now, I'm deeply involved with Olavo de Carvalho, which is, roughly speaking, a right wing esoteric catholic.
It seems like the right runs in my family's blood in all its forms.
And Getúlio Vargas turned down the old republic rasing the "new republic", which was proto-fascist, but hated by the integralists. gjjd Spencer opposes ethnonationalism. Moldbug and Spencer have very similar views on power. Spencer’s thought has expanded over the past few years into support of empire and not of petty nation states. This is the only thing I’ve listened to of MM. I think they would push the boundaries of each other’s thought.
