After 40 years of the war on drugs, the conclusion is clear: the hunt for drugs and the repression of users are a blatant failure. But between decriminalization and repression, what are the facts behind the misinformation? What are the deviations, the respective dangers? While France is locked in a repressive policy, Spain has seen a proliferation of private, non-profit clubs, whose members produce the drugs they consume themselves in a closed circuit. In Portugal, the decriminalization of all drugs has been successfully operating for over 13 years. In Switzerland, medical monitoring and the reception of consumers in consumption rooms helps save lives from chaos every day.
Formerly supporters of everything repressive, more and more politicians, doctors and even prosecutors are converting to supervised and responsible decriminalization. They all explain to us why, when it comes to drugs, another world is possible today.
