One thing I like about this movie is, it doesn’t treat her like a Mary sue. The whole story, including this fight involves her letting people in, and accepting help when needed. Her and her friend finished the monster, while Johna got the civilians to safety. She’s fallible, and allowed to have flaws, and get hurt. This way she comes back stronger then ever. The main villain was cool too, from his design, motivation, and dark reflection of Lara Croft’s character flaws. Can’t wait for season two!
It’s so nice to see some positive reactions to this show. I really liked the character backstories and the fight scenes. I hope Devereaux comes in the next season.
I really like how Deveraux didn't have to die, and overall how Lara didn't kill anyone during the series, apart from when she was under the influend of the ruby Peryl stone. It shows that she really took her realisations from Shadow of the Tomb Raider, particularly from the Porvenir sequence, and really decided to kill only if strictly necessary.

2:49 The classic Magic Pants trope where only the pants remain intact after a transformation.

1:01 Charles: "This isn't even my Final Form!"
Good for them on taking on a super powered Charles.
0:55 At least we didn't have the classic trope : watching tin awe the villain transform into an even more powerful monster before trying to kill him.
I really hope Devereaux comes back in season 2. It would be nice to see him and Lara team up, even if for a temporary truce, to defeat The Light.
If The Light is involved in season 2, I suspect that will happen. Deveraux was both spared and seemingly had a change of heart for a reason.
The person who designed the monster form… I see you… 😏
