Robert Schumann was a true genius. Great piece and definitely one of the most beautiful. I like how it follows the heavy and powerful no. 1 which is about as Dramatically schumannesque as it gets.
Paul, I don't play ANY instruments! But when I was young I wanted to play guitar, or piano. But!! I was drawn away to a profession in nursing to care for our Senior/Elderly population... In my spare time I have made music with photography, as well as giving life to block & white drawings found in "Advanced Coloring" Books. Great lesson and very timely too as I am learning this piece! Thank you very much for posting. It was serendipitous that I found your channel today while looking for this Robert Schumann piece. What a happy and fortunate accident! For your consideration: It would be great if you could do a tutorial on the wonderful nocturne by the great Robert Schumann called Nachtstuck in F major, Op. 23, No. 4
I aspire to play this lovely piece. I'm working through the Henle 'At The Piano' Schumann edition and should arrive at the Romance in F sharp soon. PS I thought it said 'Bartok' on your wrist!
You've really got a talent to explain things casually and well structured, so that one can follow you and gets motivated to try it on their own.
