When are yall dropping the Mr. Handy?
Wonderful idea! I loved it! I hope everyone can stay safe!
Too bad they cannot deploy from the C130 mid flight.
whoa; seems like if the mission was to be transported inside of a cargo aricraft and then rapidly deployed; should'nt they have designed a version of the Mojave to fold up better? There many examples of modern sailplanes that fold up quickly and easily!
... new type of wing, engine, take-off at approx. 50m, landing at approx. 30m, but empty machine. It's a pity that the take-off demonstration is not with a loaded or armed aircraft.
Realistically, it will be more difficult.
What about in-flight refueling? Has no one thought of that yet?
It's a shame that only one drone fits into the cargo plane.
Hopefully, you can support it with all those employees that you are losing and not paying enough to compensate for all the work the have to do
I😢😊
I'm not impressed. I'd be impressed if the drone could be pushed out the back of the cargo plane mid-air, and it would assemble itself and fly it's mission. When it was done, it wold rendezvous with the cargo plane, and fly itself back into the cargo bay.
Really? Your solution for a "rapid" deployable UAV, is to have an AC130 delivery the craft on the ground and have a crew piece it together for a takeoff, from land? Why not have a smaller package, switch winged craft, that is slung from a hard point or a larger version dropped from the open door of an AC130, then deploys midair? Or, why not a long range missile, with a UAV as its compact payload and deploys over the target for maximum loiter time, only to fly to the nearest safe landing zone, or, if cheap enough, self-destruct once the mission is done? This is something you might see with the 1950 thinking, NOT 2023!
NOT AC-130, just C-130. Kinda different beast.....
I don't agree with your points on the design. What you are describing is a different mission.
For this mission, it only needs to get to the battle space once, say Ukraine, and will then fly hundreds of missions close to the front. Close air support. It just need at machine gun (mini gun) pod, that can swirl (think Apache), so it can protect it self from MANPADS from all directions. And an EW package that can detect jamming and point the gun to the emitter.
Maybe they employ people with old ways of thinking.
They used ARMA for this! LOLOL
welcome to ukraine
Почти поверил, НО МУЛЬТИК ХОРОШИЙ 😅
