It seems like source trainees were New Jeans members and the reason why Gfriend disbanded was because Source invested too much money in their debut (not as New Jeans, it was a different group but most of the members were the same) but they couldn't reach an agreement with Min Heejin (the current ceo of New Jeans's company) so Source went bankrupt, Hybe created Ador and move Source trainees (New Jeans members) to that company and Big Hit trainees (Le Sserafim members) to Source Music. But yeah, wether New Jeans or LS, none of any of those groups (or Illic) has Gfriend's quality

I was watching Nmixx stage practice, live vocals (really good btw) when i suddenly got here i was flabbergasted. This choreo is among the hardest in girl groups and its on a show and yet they do live vocals.

Look, they sang and danced at the same time. GFRIEND didn't make any excuses for not singing well while dancing. And also at that time they didn't get proper vocal training. Nowadays, a lot of 4th gen girl groups are always making excuses for not singing well while dancing. But when doing an encore, which means they sing while standing at the same place, some can't even get the right tone or notes. What a shame!

Their vocals are quite stable tho despite their choreography. Yerin's vocal should be given more love! I'm a fan of another girl group so this is certainly not my biased observation :)
